Der Führungsteil 10 ist elektromagnetisch in Richtung der Pfeile A und T im Schlitten 2 auf und ab bewegbar und dadurch in Eingriff (Pfeilrichtung T) und außer Eingriff (Pfeilrichtung A) mit einem schematisch angedeuteten Funktionselement 4 bringbar, das entlang einer Schiene 3 parallel zu der Längsachse einer hier nicht dargestellten Flachstrickmaschine im Pfeilrichtung X längs verschiebbar ist. An der der Schiene 3 zugewandten Seite der Brücke 11 sind ein Mitnahmefinger 13 sowie zwei Schaltvorsprünge 12, 14 angeordnet. Der Mitnahmefinger 13 liegt genau in der Mitte Y der Vorrichtung 1, die auch der Mitte eines schematisch angedeuteten Strickschlosses 5 der Flachstrickmaschine entspricht. Die Schaltvorsprünge 12 und 14 sind symmetrisch zum Mitnahmefinger 13 in den Endbereichen der Brücke 11 angeordnet. Beide Schaltvorsprünge 12, 14 sind mit Schaltflächen 12', 12" bzw. 14', 14" versehen. Auch der Mitnahmefinger 13 weist zwei Mitnahmeflächen 13', 13" auf. Sowohl die Mitnahmeflächen 13', 13" als auch die Schaltflächen 12', 12" und 14', 14" sind jeweils in quer zur Bewegungsrichtung X der Vorrichtung 1 versetzt zueinander liegenden Ebenen angeordnet. Dies bedingt natürlich, dass auch die entsprechenden Schalt- und Mitnahmeflächen des Funktionselements 4 in quer zur Bewegungsrichtung X zueinander versetzten Ebenen angeordnet sind. Der Abstand VL der Schaltfläche 12' und der Abstand VR der Schaltfläche 14" zur Mitte Y bestimmt den zeitlichen Abstand, mit dem die Schaltbewegungen der Schaltvorsprünge 12, 14 der Mitnahmebewegung durch den Mitnahmefinger 13 vorauseilen. In gleicher Weise bestimmen die Abstände NR und NL der Schaltflächen 12" und 14' zur Mitte Y die zeitliche Verzögerung zwischen der Mitnahmebewegung und den Schaltbewegungen, die durch die Schaltvorsprünge 12, 14 ausgelöst werden.
