Definitions
- a test system is related to determination of candidate visual awareness at recruitment phase.
- test system which is providing determination of candidate physical reaction against to stimulant, is disclosed at patent number WO2007016471.
- determining candidate's physical reactions as auditory, visual, tactual and pressure changes.
- a central test system which is providing determination of candidate's qualifications, is disclosed at patent number US5195033.
- test system which can be set in different location and connected to same server. By this way test system provides candidate can sit for an examination where they want also they can get certificate if they succeed. Both test systems eliminates the paperwork and provides conclude the test in a little while.
- the present invention relates to a computer based test system, in order to eliminate the abovementioned problems and to bring new advantages to the related technical field.
- the main object of the present invention is to provide a test system which is providing determination of the candidate's choices while they encounter simultaneously two different stimulants.
- test system in particularly computer based test system, to provide versatile determining the candidates visual ability which comprises; a platform, a keyboard provided on the platform for entering data, a hard disk which storing data, a display adapter for transforming data to visual elements, a monitor which is connected to the display adapter.
- Said test system comprising;
- At least two stimulant which has different properties provided are stored at the hard disk,
- a processor which is connected to elements the test system have and which provides presenting the first stimulant on the monitor at specific area and the second stimulant on the monitor at different area one after the other in a particular order for recording the candidates specific reactions against to stimulants.
- a one of the said stimulant is an image group which consists multiple number of images.
- the image group consists of four images which three images are similar and one image is different.
- a said other stimulant is a restricted area and a point which is moving inside of the restricted area.
- at the step a said other stimulant is an auditory stimulant.
- step b when presenting the stimulants one after the other, there is maximum two hundred and fifty milliseconds between the two stimulants.
- step b specific reactions are; total time the candidate spends, number of correct answers, number of wrong answers and the questions candidate skips.
- the monitor has a touch screen.
- the test system comprises a sound adapter.
- the test system comprises an audio unit which is connected to sound adapter.
- the test system comprises a controller.
- Figure 1 a schematic plan of the test system view is shown.
- test system 10 which is providing the evaluation of candidate's reactions against two stimulants which appears simultaneously.
- Alternative structure of the invention can be applied on to computers.
- test system (10) includes; a keyboard (15) for entering data to system, a hard disk (13) for storing data; a display adapter (14) for transforming data's to visual elements; a sound adapter (16) for transforming data's to auditory elements; a processor for providing coordination and arrangements between related elements.
- the test system (10) has a RAM (12) for calling and waiting the data ready to transforming before processing.
- the test system (10) has; a monitor (30) connected to display adapter (16) and audio unit (40) connected to sound adapter (16).
- the monitor (30) has a feature to detect touches.
- controller (20) connected to the test system (10).
- the test system (10) is preferably set on a platform (50).
- screen shot the first phase of the test which implemented to candidate is shown.
- the monitor (30) is divided in to two as a presentation area (65) and a selection area (66).
- a reference image (60) is shown on the presentation area (65) and multiple numbers of images (61 , 62) is shown on the selection area (66).
- the monitor (30) has a time counter (63) and a button (64).
- candidate has to choose the images (61 , 62) from selection area (66) which are similar to reference image (60) shown at presentation area (65).
- test practitioner gives some time to candidate.
- Candidate can see the remaining time at the time counter (63).
- At this specific time candidate has to find the maximum number of similar reference image (60). If the candidate can find the whole reference images (60) can pass to second phase of the test by pressing to the button (64).
- second phase reference image (60) which shown on presentation area (65), consist of two parts.
- First part (601) and second part (602) of the reference image (60) includes same or different elements image.
- images (61) consist of a first part (61 1) and a second part (612).
- Second phase differs from first phase by at the second stage different reference images (60) shown one after the other. Conversion time between the two reference images (60) at least two hundred and fifty milliseconds. Therefore candidate has to make his choices very quickly. After the certain numbers of reference images (60) are shown to the candidate the second phase of the test ends.
- Third phase of the test differs from other phases the monitor (30) is divided in to two areas as; firs area (67) and second area (68).
- a restricted area (70) appears in the first area (67).
- a trackless point (71) is moving inside of the restricted area (70).
- the point (71) is moving on the defined path (73) in the restricted area (70).
- the point (71) returns to the starting point at every cycle and complete the path (73). While the point (71) moving on the path (73) inside of the restricted area (70) it doesn't leave a trace.
- the path (73) which has different patterns appears inside of the bounded areas (72).
- One of the defined paths (73) inside of the bounded area (72) shows the way which the point (71) follows.
- An image group (80) is appearing in the second area (68).
- the image group (80) consists of four images (61 , 62). At the image group (80) three of the image (61 ) is similar and the fourth image (62) is different.
- the candidate has to find different image (62) and tick on it. In other words, at this phase candidate has to follow the point (71) at the first area (67) and determine the path (73) it drew and he has to follow image group (80) and find the different image (62) among them.
- the image group (80) changes multiple times. This condition to makes more difficult to follows the point (71) for candidate.
- Candidate has to divide his attention to follow the point (71) movement and also to follow the image group (80) change.
- Candidate has to find the correct bounded area (72) after the point (71) complete the movement.
- the image group (80) continues to change.
- candidate has to divide his attention; a part of his attention tries to find correct the bounded area (72), other part of his attention follows transforming image group (80).
- this phase of the test transformation of the image group (80) and movement of the point (71) continues one after the other and certain times. Also this circumstance happens for a certain time and rapidly.
- the reference image group (80) changes maximum en of the two hundred and fifty milliseconds.
- the candidate makes choice between the image groups (80) automatically the next image group (80) appears at the monitor (30).
- candidate's thinking time nearly eliminated.
- Candidate has to use his visual attention in affordable way.
- the number of image group (80) which shown to candidate and the point (71) moving inside of the restricted area (80) finishes simultaneously.
- test system (10) works as follows; Candidate's personal information is recorded to the hard disk (13) with the aid of keyboard (15). Candidate, who is waiting on the platform (50), is informed about instructions related to test. Instructions are given auditory by the audio unit (40) and visual by the monitor (30). After the informing all instructions, first phase of the test starts. At the first phase of the test candidate has to find similar images as like reference image (60) which appears on the monitor (30). Candidate marks the images which he thinks similar to reference image (60), via touch screen monitor (30). If the candidate completes marking the images before the time finishes, he can touch the button (64) and complete the first phase.
