Abstract
The engine has a rotor assembled from two discs (38'A, 38'B) one on top of the other. The discs are thicker in the centre and taper towards the circumference. A combustion chamber (30') is formed between them at the circumference. A passage (46') within the rotor carries a working fluid to the combustion chamber. Another passage (16') carries the fuel to the combustion chamber. The working fluid is heated and compressed in the passage before reaching the combustion chamber. The burnt gases are ejected through nozzles (70') of another disc which is on the same shaft (13') as the rotor and thus contribute a further driving moment.
