Abstract

The conveyor (1) has an endless belt which passes over rollers at each end of the conveyor, with a powered roller at one end. The conveyor is covered with a second belt, which rests on the lower belt. The outer belt is coated with a material to increase the surface friction. For handling hot material the belt may be covered with heat resistant material. The conveyor may be covered with heavy material for conveying rocks and lightweight material is conveyed on a ribbed belt.
