Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a luminaire which uses the fluorescence properties of liquids which are in motion. Usually the luminaires use lamps whose main light effect is by heating a tungsten filament or use the electric discharge in a gas (neon type). The luminaires which associate the mobile effect with the luminous effect use systems which move the lamps hung under a bracket or linked to a rigid support.
Some luminaires use the reflection effects of certain bodies, or also the fluorescence effects of solid bodies. The French utility certificate 7624933 describes a luminaire which is in fact a fluorescent paint and which receives ultraviolet radiation from a Wood lamp. The luminaire according to the invention uses the luminous effect of fluorescent liquid bodies, the liquid being in the form of a jet of water or circulating in a transparent pipe. The light effect will be obtained thanks to an ultraviolet emission lamp attached to the luminaire itself. The luminaire will therefore be composed of a base (1) or a bracket which forms the physical base of the luminaire, a reservoir (2) containing the fluorescent liquid, a pumping system (3) which sets the liquid in motion, a transparent pipe (4) in which the liquid will evolve and an ultraviolet light (5) fixed to the lamp. Ultraviolet lighting illuminates the moving liquid, the lighting can be outside the piping or inside it, in case the lighting is inside we will make sure of the sealing of electrical parts. The piping can be summarized as a closed surface or a transparent hollow volume (hollow ball or transparent cylinder). According to a variant, the liquid is set in motion by a movement of the piping itself. The word "piping" is taken here in the broad sense and designates any object capable of containing a liquid. Thus in this case the piping can be a closed hollow transparent volume, preferably asymmetrical which contains the fluorescent liquid, a motor will give this volume a rotational movement whose kinematic moment of rotation is horizontal. Note that this is only a special case of the previous description, in fact: the reservoir is formed by the piping itself, the pumping system (system which allows to change the potential energy of a liquid) is formed by the pipe-motor combination. The luminaire can be produced according to the following nonlimiting example: The base consists of an opaque hollow container (I), a centrifugal pump (3) is fixed inside the container, the discharge is done by the upper part , a hollow glass ball (ii open at its base is fixed on the opening of the container by a tight seal, the seal admits a passage of the electric wire of the pump. The support of an ultraviolet lamp (5) is attached to the outside of the container, the fluorescent liquid (2) consisting of fluorescein diluted in water is introduced into the container.
