Abstract

The suspended ceiling spotlight support consists of outer (1) and inner (2) cups, e.g. stamped from 0.8mm aluminium, joined together by spiral grooved surfaces which enable the inner cup to be rotated relative to the outer one and adjust the height of the spotlight.The outer cup has apertures (10) in its base which allow it to be attached to a fixed ceiling, while the adjustable inner cup is joined to a tensioned suspended ceiling panel (9) by two rings (3,8). The first ring (3) is of a heat-resistant material, connected to the edge of the inner cup by screws (6), while the second ring is of an insulating material, designed to prevent heat from spoiling the tensioned panel.
