Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of medical devices, more particularly implantable medical devices, and particularly relates to an implantable dialysis device making it possible to extract within an organism at least one metal cation and/or at least one circulating molecule from the liquid cerebrospinal fluid and/or interstitial fluid of cerebral and spinal parenchyma. Thanks to its implantable nature, the dialysis device according to the invention presents much less risk of toxicity. In particular, it does not open an access route between the internal cerebral zones and the outside of the body, thus avoiding numerous complications and side effects such as meningitis. The implantable dialysis device according to the invention comprises a first catheter (1) for capturing cerebrospinal fluid and/or interstitial fluid, a second catheter (2) for reinjecting said fluid, a porous dialysis membrane (3), a reservoir (4) comprising a dialysis fluid (5 ), said dialysis fluid comprising at least one additive chosen from among nanoparticles, polymers and biomolecules, said additive having a size greater than the cut-off threshold of said porous dialysis membrane, and comprises or consists of at least one ligand specific for a circulating molecule of cerebrospinal fluid and/or interstitial fluid of a mammal.
