Abstract

1,064,111. stirrers. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 5, 1964 [Jan. 9, 1963], No. 1065/63. Heading B1C. A stirrer comprises a wheel-like member 1 by which it is rotated by contact with the wall of a stationary container; as shown there are angled blades 5 (which may be tapered) extending between the member 1 and a disc 6. The wheel and disc may be fixed to the shaft and rotatable in a handle 4, or the stirrer may rotate on the shaft, see Fig. I (not shown); the apparatus may be handheld or power-driven and may be indirectly driven as by epicyclic gearing. The wheel-like member may be a disc, cylinder, sphere, spheroid or ellipsoid.
