Abstract
1,071,931. Pneumatic springs. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. and CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE A.G. Feb. 25, 1965 [March 21, 1964], No. 8093/65. Heading F2S. The innar and outer reinforced beaded edge portions 3, 3 of the roller bellows 1 of a pneumatic spring, e.g. for vehicles, arc clamped against inclined and mutually converging support surfaces 38, 28, provided respectively on an internal piston-like part 14, and an external pot-shaped housing part 6, 6<SP>1</SP>, by means of supporting rings 36, 8 each of which is fixed to the respective part 14 at 6, 6<SP>1</SP>. The flange 8a of the ring 8 is firmly secured between the adjacent ends of the housing parts 6, 6<SP>1</SP> which are clamped together by a clip 32 with a sealing ring 33, the flange 36a of the ring 36 being supported against a pressure ring 35a which is received in a groove in the inner housing part 14. In a modification. Fig. 2 (not shown), the ring (8) is clamped against a pressure ring (35). In a further modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the inner ring is secured to the housing part (14b) by means of bolts (not shown), the outer edge portion of the bellows being retained between the outer surface of an outwardlyinclined lower edge portion (40) of an elongated ring (8b) and a cylindrical outer housing portion (41) into which the upper end of the ring (8b) merges.
