Abstract

1296372 Toothbrush holder AUBIT PLASTICS Ltd 2 March 1970 [1 March 1969] 11039/69 Heading A4V [Also in Divisions B8 and F1] A toothpaste dispenser comprises a body 3 of cylindrical shape formed by inner and outer walls connected at the top by an annular platform 4 with a plurality of apertures 5 for the support of toothbrushes, and which has a central cavity 7 to receive a tube of toothpaste P, the cavity being closed at its lower end by a dispensing device which has an inlet adapted to receive the nozzle of the toothpaste tube, and a pump having an outlet to the exterior of the dispenser and arranged to withdraw from the tube and discharge through the outlet a quantity of toothpaste. The pump comprises a piston 12 reciprocable in a cylindrical chamber 9 and biased away from the inlet of the dispensing device by a spring 15. When the piston is withdrawn under the action of the spring, toothpaste is sucked through a one-way valve 10 and into the chamber 9, and the toothpaste is dispensed through further one-way valves 11 by moving the piston against the action of the spring by a push-button 14.
