1483217 Sieves HIEN LEHMANN AG 2 Aug 1974 34229/74 Headings BID and B2H A sieve panel, Fig. 1a, consists of prefrabricated, rectangular segments 1, 1' of resilient rubber or plastics which are interconnected at their side edges by a reinforced connector 3', the side edges of the segments having a non- planar configuration. The side edges may be provided with longitudinal grooves to form triangular, Fig. 1a, or rounded screw threadlike ridges, with grooves to form pyramidal projections or with recesses to form conical or fursto-conical projections. Alternatively the side edges may be formed with a flnage 13 Fig. 3a, which may also be provided with grooves or indentations, Fig. 3b. The connector 3', Fig. 1a, may be reinforced by wires or rods 4, 4', 5 in the form of a double crossed grid, Fig. 4. The wires or rods may have a circular rectangular cross-section and may be welded together at their points of crossing, an additional layer of wires or rods may be provided above or below the grid. To assemble segments of the type shown in Fig. 6, the latter are placed with their sieving surfaces 12 on a table with a gap between their edges. The reinforcement is inserted in the spaces between th edge webs 15 of the individual segments and rest on shoulders 14 provided below the flanges 13. The spaces are then filled with a bonding compound to form the reinforced connector. The edges of the perforated areas of the sieve may be provided with thickened reinforcing radiused portions 17, Fig. 6, or with reinforcing portions 19, Fig. 9, having straight, concave or, as shown, convex outer edges 20.
