Abstract

1421915 Plate-type evaporator APV CO LTD 13 Nov 1973 [6 Dec 1972] 56369/72 Heading B1B A plate-type evaporator is divided into two sections by a plate in which the vapour and concentrate discharge hole has louvres 5 on a fine mesh, to allow vapour but not concentrate in the discharge holes or the R.H. side from passing through to the discharge holes on L.H. side and pass to separator 7. Initial concentration is effected in the L.H. side of the pack, and the concentrate and vapour is passed to separator 7, and the separated concentrate fed via 12 to the R.H. side for further concentration.
