Abstract

The warning triangle, for use by motorist in the event of an emergency, includes three glow sticks which can be activated so that chemicals within the sticks mix and create a phosphorescent glow, with the sticks then being attached to a warning triangle using clips C.

Description
High visibility warning triangle This invention is the evolution of the existing roadside warning triangle currently carried in cars throughout the world.
The invention is the formation of three sealed plastic tubes containing a glass ampoule, the tube and the ampoule contain two different chemicals which when mixed create a phosphorescent red glow(existing product).
When the larger tube (B) is bent the inner ampoule (A) breaks causing the chemicals to react, creating a visible.light source lasting approximately twelve hOurs. The three tubes are then mounted by small clips (C) to an existing reflective warning triangle or it's own mounting device.
The invention is an improvement to existing warning triangles because it can be seen earlier at night time, in fog and poor visibility. It is also not reliant on a separate light source (ie: car headlights).

  1. Claims A visible warning triangle that can be seen from a further
    distance at night, in fog or poor visibility.
    A visible warning for motorists that does not rely on the reflection of their headlights.
    A visible warning that requires no electricity or batteries.
