Abstract

A bow or stem hull section of a vessel defined by a deck area and a bulkhead area of identical shape, joined across their breadth and bounded in part by identical parabolas. The two sides of the hull section each comprise a three sided element, with the side that is not adjacent to the deck or bulkhead area being formed from a portion of the curve of an ellipse.
