[Class 44.] A square spindle a has a knob a<3> fixed thereon by a peg a<2>, the other end of the spindle being threaded to receive a knob e. A bush g, slidable on the spindle has projections e<3> engaging recesses in knob e to hold the knob against rotation on the spindle, engagement being effected by a compression spring h, housed in a rose-plate c and bearing against a shoulder in the rose-plate and against the inner end of knob a<3>. A second rose-, plate f provides a bearing for bush g.
