443,763. Screw propellers. SHIGA, M., 15, Aoyama Takagi-cho, Akasaka-Ku, Tokio. Aug. 7, 1935, No. 22334. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1934. [Class 114] Contrary-turning tractor screws for aircraft are arranged with the blades of the after propeller acting outside the swept circle of the other. The screw propeller 4 on a shaft 2 is placed in front of a propeller 3 supported on a sleeve 1, and blades of this propeller are supported by arms of a length greater than the radius of the propeller 4. The shafts 1 and 2 are driven in opposite directions.
