[Class 87 (ii)] A hand device for taking thin slices off cheese comprises a rod 1 bent to form a handle 2 having a slot 3 in which is secured one end of a cutting wire 10 the other end of which passes through aligned slots 5, 9 in the rod end and a slidable thimble 8 respectively A nut 7 screwed on the rod end adjusts the position of the thimble and hence the tautness of the wire.
