Abstract

646,114. Screw stoppers. GRIENSEYSS, K. July 19, 1948, No. 19348. [Class 125(iii)] A screw closure for a liquid receptacle is provided at one side with a small opening e serving to admit air and on the other with a hole f through which the liquid can flow out when the closure is screwed back to some extent from its closing position. Above the hole f, the closure is formed with a lateral extension or nose b on which the issuing liquid forms drops. The receptacle is sealed when the closure is screwed down by a compressible disc c. In Fig. 5 (not shown) the construction is similar except that the closure is externally threaded and screws into the neck of the receptacle.
