[Class 104 (ii)] An aerial track comprises a catenary suspension member 2 supported from towers 1 and in turn supporting by drop lines 4 a generally straight-line lower flexible member 3 from which a running rail 5 is suspended by clamps 17 with rings 18 engaging ears 16 formed on the rails. The towers may be transversely movable on rails and may carry means for elevating or lowering the track to give different loading-up points such as over a ship or wharf, Figs. 10-13 (not shown). The running rail 5 may be duplicated to give a double track, the end towers carrying a connecting loop with a turntable for diversion to sidings. Pull-offs 50, Fig. 2, are provided at curves and pull-backs 8 at the towers. The two tracks are connected by ties 7 which may carry electric conductors 21 engaged by a bow-collector on the vehicle. The rails 5 have inclined faces 15 engaged by wheels 12 on the vehicles. The adhesion is, in known manner, automatically increased on gradients by means of auxiliary wheels 121 displaceable relatively to the centre of gravity of the vehicle.
