Abstract

The method according to the invention is characterized by the fact that a belt structure is made, during which a first elastomer layer is laid on the expandable outer surface of a structural tube, a cross cord layer is laid on the elastomer layer, a second elastomer layer is laid on the cross cord layer, then an extensible member is twisted in a spiral shape on the second elastomer layer, and a third an elastomer layer is laid, after which the tube with an expandable outer surface is placed under pressure, and with this the belt structure is pressed into a tool equipped with the belt profile; holding the stretchable member through the cross cord layer, the position of the stretchable cord is controlled; the belt structure is heated; the belt is hardened and the belt assembly is removed from the tool.
