Abstract

In order to regulate the speed of rotation of the driving motor (18) of a gas feeding pump (12) that ensures gas return during a fuelling process, in particular when the fuel filling flow increases or decreases at the beginning or end of the fuelling process, so that this speed of rotation is proportional to the amount of returned gas, according to a predetermined calibrating curve, and so that errors affecting the speed of rotation of the motor may be immediately detected and electronically compensated, the real values of the volume of fuel fed into the tank are converted by a pulse generator (5) and supplied as an input value to a regulating unit (16) in the form of a processor, along with the fedback tachometric voltage of the electric motor (18) linked to the gas feeding pump (12). The regulating unit (16) constantly compares said input values and supplies at its output a controlled variable for the electric motor (18) that is proportional to the difference between the volume of fuel filled into the tank and the amount of gas returned. The computer (6) connected to the pulse generator (5) and regulating unit (16) converts the measurement data from the liquid measurement motor (4) and displays them on a monitor for service station clients. The output of the regulating unit (16) is directly connected to the pump motor (18).
