Abstract

ABSTRACT The present invention provides :1 bag dispensing box folded from a cardboard block to form a substantially rectangular blank adapted to house a plurality of handled bags which may be individually removed from the box, the box having a pair of slots formed in an end wall thereof, such that the handles of a bag housed within the box project through the slots and may therefore be used to carry the bag dispensing box in addition to carrying the bag itself, the box also having a central opening in a front face thereof in order to facilitate the inspection of bags within the box without requiring the box to be opened.

Description

BAG DISPENSER BOX DESCRIPTION OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present disclosure refers to a utility model application for a bag dispenser box consisting of a cardboard box which is arranged to hold a number of bags which may be individually removed by the user as required. The cardboard box is formed by a laminate shell which has been duly cut and scored to form a parallelepiped. The bags are placed inside the box and the bag handles serve as a means of individual transport as well as that of dispenser box itself.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention is applicable to the cardboard box manufacturing industry.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The applicant is aware of the existence of a large variety of cardboard boxes formed by a laminate shell which has been duly cut and scored.
However, the applicant is not currently aware of any box which has the same characteristics as that described in this disclosure.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention is a bag dispensing box which is arranged as a container consisting of a cardboard box in which the upper part of one of the shorter sides of the box is fitted with protruding flaps which serve to secure the bags set within the box. The said flaps are separated by grooves to allow the handles of the bags to be removed from the container. The front face of the box is fitted with a central rectangular opening to allow inspection of the bag content and the colour of the same. in more specific terms, the bag dispenser box which is the object of the invention, consists of a box formed, as indicated above, by a laminate shell which has been duly cut and scored, which is arranged in the form of two rectangular faces separated from lateral side faces and flaps by score lines, with one of the longer rectangular faces having a rectangular central opening which incorporates an additional end-rounded slot set on the upper central part of the opening.
The longer sides of this rectangular arrangement are provided with two rectangular areas of identical length and smaller width.
The longer outer side of the upper side flap is fitted with a central curved indentation.
The two shorter sides of the said flap are fitted with flaps or wings with a curved upper side and a rounded bottom corner.
On the opposite inner side of the upper face, there is a rectangular area separated from the two larger rectangular faces by score lines, and which incorporates two protruding side flaps or wings of identical width and varying length.
One of the shorter sides of the area fitted with the rectangular opening, incorporates a tapered flap or wing with rounded corners, while the opposite side is fitted with two different type flaps on each side and one quadrilateral central flap or protrusion with rounded outer corners. This latter flap is cut into the body of the rectangular face and is transversally scored to allow movement.
The said flap is also fitted with a curved opening coinciding with the edge of the rectangular face.
The other larger rectangular face is fitted with a rectangular bottom flap which, in turn, is fitted with side flaps on each of its shorter side which are separated by scored lines and which have the same width as the bottom flap but different lengths.
A central curved opening is set on the scored line between the larger rectangular face and the bottom flap to the same.
On one of the shorter sides of the larger rectangular face in question, there is a double flap, the first flap, immediately adjacent to the side of the larger face, being rectangular in shape while the outer flap is tapered. The longer, outer side of this tapered flap is fitted with two smaller, tapered flanges.
On the opposite side there are three practically rectangular flaps which, in plan, are vertically scored down the middle. The outer, leading edges of each of these flaps are fitted with a protruding rectangular flange and the inner edges, connected to the central rectangular face, are each fitted with rectangular slots.
Once the box is assembled, with these latter flaps to the larger rectangular face, left outwards, a suitable number of bags are placed inside the box and the said three double flaps along the shorter side are folded down to hold the bags, with the handles of these latter protruding through the slots between the said flaps.
DESCRlPTlON OF THE DRAWINGS The features of the invention will be better understood by reference to the accompanying drawings and the description of the same, which are to be regarded as illustrative in nature and not restrictive. In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows a plan view of the laminate element which when assembled corresponds to the invention for a bag dispenser box.
Fig. 2 shows a perspective of the partially assembled object shown in plan in Fig. ‘l.
Fig. 3 shows a perspective of the partially assembled invention with the bags placed inside.
Fig. 4 shows a view of the totally assembled invention.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION When referring to these figures, it may be seen that the bag dispenser box (1) is a cardboard box formed by a laminate shell which has two rectangular faces of identical size (2) and (17), with one of the faces (2) containing a rectangular central opening (3) incorporating an additional end-rounded slot set centrally on one side of the opening when seen on plan.
One of the shorter sides of the front face (2) is provided with a tapered flap or wing (12) with rounded corners, while the opposite side is fitted with two different type flaps on each side (8) and (9) and one flap (10) in the centre which is fitted with a curved central opening or slot (11).
On the longer outer side of face (2) the shell includes a rectangular flap or extension (4) which is fitted with a curved indentation (5) coinciding with the central area of the external side, and two edge flaps (6) and (7) on each of its smaller sides.
All of the areas and flaps mentioned above are separated by score lines.
On the lower and longer side of area (2) there is a further rectangular area (13) which is provided with flaps or wings (14) and (16) on each of its smaller sides, with flap (14) being of identical width to that of flap (16), but longer in length.
The said flap (14) includes a 90° rebate (15) on the lower outer corner of the same.
On the lower side of the rectangular area (13) there is another face (17) similar to that of area (2). On one of the shorter sides of said face (17) there is a double flap or wing (23) and (24). The longer side of the outer flap (24) is fitted with two tapered flanges (25) and (26), while the inner flap (23) is fitted with two rectangular slots (27).
On the opposite side of the area (17) there are three flaps (19), (20) and (21) which, in plan, are vertically scored down the middle. Flap (20) is fitted with a rectangular slot close to the central score line and all three flaps (19), (20) and (21) are fitted with protruding rectangular tabs (31).
Three rectangular slots (18) are set along the score lines separating area (17) from the three flaps (19), (20) and (21).
The lower side of the shell area (17) is fitted with a rectangular extension, wing or flap (28) which has a central curved slot (29) set on the scored line between the larger rectangular face (17). The said protrusion (28) is fitted with side flaps (30) and (31) on each of its shorter sides which are the same width as the bottom flap but different in length.
When assembling the box, side (17) is set flat and sides (13) and (28) are drawn up 90° in relation to the said face (17). The side flaps (23) and (24) are similarly raised and flap (24) is folded down and the tabs (25) and (26) set in the slots (27). Flaps (14) and (30) are inserted between the folded flap (23) and (24) and are secured by the tabs (25) and (26).
The double flaps (19) and (21) are raised into a vertical position and this latter flap (21) is folded inwards over the end flap to area (28) and tab (31) inserted in the corresponding slot (18). In a similar fashion, flap (19) is folded over the end flap (16) and similarly secured.
Once the empty box has been duly assembled in accordance with the description indicated above, bags (40) are then laid in the box with their handles (41) protruding outwards and held by flap (20) which is doubled in on itself and fastened in order to secure the bags within the partially assembled box. The cover side (2) is then folded over and flap (12) introduced beneath the bags (40). The long side flap (4) to the cover (2) is folded over and inserted between the bags (40) and side (28). The flaps (8) and (9) set on the shorter, upperface of the cover (2) are inserted between the bags (40) and flaps (19), (20) and (21) and the central folded flap (20) is retained by the insertion of the protruding cover tab (10).
