- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.室温で液体の反応性サイズのサイジング分散液の製造方法であって、ニート 液体としての反応性サイズを水中のアニオン性微粒子材料分散液中に分散させる ことから成る方法。 2.該サイズが反応性無水サイズである請求項1に記載の方法。 3.アニオン性微粒子材料が膨潤粘土、シリカ、ポリ珪酸 (polysilicic acid)、ポリシリケートミクロゲルおよびポリアルミノシリケー トミクロゲルから選択される請求項1または2に記載の方法。 4.該微粒子材料がベントナイトである請求項1または2に記載の方法。 5.水が軟水である請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 6.カチオン性材料が実質的に存在しない状態で分散液が形成される、請求項1 〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 7.該分散液がカチオン性重合電解質および界面活性剤から選択された添加物が 実質的に存在しない状態で分散液が形成される、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に 記載の方法。 8.カチオン性重合電解質が実質的に存在せず、乳化剤用界面 活性剤も存在せず、界面活性剤を(反応性サイズの重量をもとに)2%以下しか 存在せずに、分散液が形成される請求項7に記載の方法。 9.界面活性剤が存在せず、存在しても1%以下の界面活性剤しか存在せずに分 散液が形成され、該界面活性剤が非イオン性およびアニオン性界面活性剤から選 択される、請求項8に記載の方法。 10.アニオン性微粒子材料の安定した分散液を提供し、サイズを分散液へ攪拌 して入れる、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 11.該水がイオン交換処理によって軟水化され、及び/又は封鎖剤の存在下に 分散液が形成される、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 12.室温で液体の反応性サイズの水分散液と、分散液を安定化させるアニオン 性微粒子材料とから成り、該分散液が実質的にカチオン性重合電解質を含有せず 、界面活性剤を含有しないか、または含有しても2%以下であって、好ましくは 1%以下であるようなサイジング分散液。 13.紙のサイズ化方法において、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の方法 によるサイジング分散液を形成し、請求項12のサイジング分散液を提供し、該 サイジング分散液によって紙をサイズ化することより成る方法。 14.該紙が該分散剤をセルロース薄ストック懸濁液へ混合させて内部サイジン グされ、該懸濁液をスクリーンを通して流し込み、シートを形成して該シートを 乾燥させる、請求項12に記載の方法。 15.請求項14の方法において、セルロース薄ストック中の重合定着補助剤を 合体し、反応性サイズ及びアニオン性微粒子材料を微粒子定着補助剤としての薄 ストックに混合し、該懸濁液を流し込むことより成る方法。 16.請求項7〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法か、または請求項12の分散液 が実質的にカチオン性重合電解質および界面活性剤から選択した添加剤を含まな いよう、セルロース薄ストックへ該分散液を混合する、請求項15に記載の方法 。 17.サイズ化した紙をセルロース懸濁液から製造するために、微粒子定着系を 利用し、この系が重合定着補助剤と微粒子アニオン性材料とから構成され、該方 法がポリマー定着補助剤 を含有するセルロース性懸濁液を提供し、水において懸濁液を分散化させるよう 混合して、該水が微粒子アニオン性材料と水に不溶な反応性サイズを含有し、懸 濁液に流し込んでシートを形成し、該シートを乾燥させてメーキャップ水におい て分散液を形成し、該水が微粒子材料と反応性サイジングとを含有し、実質的に カチオン性重合電解質と界面活性剤から選択される添加剤を含有しない、請求項 14に記載の方法。 18.該分散液がセルロース懸濁液へ混合され、重合定着補助剤が添加される、 請求項14に記載の方法。 19.フェノールスルホン樹脂を定着補助剤として混合し、酸化ポリエチレンの 添加前後に該分散液を添加する、請求項14に記載の方法。 20.該紙が該分散液で塗工されることによって外部サイジングされるような請 求項13に記載の方法。 21.付加的増粘剤及び/又は塗工成分が分散液が紙へ塗工される前に分散液中 にふくまれる、請求項20に記載の方法。 22.外部サイジング紙を作成する請求項20または21に記載の方法において 、重合定着補助剤をセルロース薄ストックへ混合し、該薄ストックを流し込んで シートを形成し、該シート を乾燥させて前記水性分散液を該シートへ適用して該シートを再度乾燥させるこ とより成る方法。
