Abstract

Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. (a)超常磁性材料、低キュリー温度の材料およびそれらの混合物から 成る群から選択される遷移金属含有成分から本質的に成るコアを少なくとも1つ 、および (b)上記コア(類)の表面上のケイ質酸化物被膜、 から本質的に成る粒子を含んで成る粒子状吸着材であって、0.33gの乾燥吸 着材粒子が20mlの1N塩酸水溶液に入っているとして15分間存在させた時 に上記吸着材粒子が示す遷移金属浸出値が上記溶液の重量を基準にして約50p pm未満の金属であるように上記被膜が上記コア(類)の表面全体を覆っている 吸着材。 2. 上記遷移金属がVIII族の遷移金属およびそれらの混合物から選択さ れる請求の範囲第1項記載の吸着材。 3. 上記遷移金属含有成分が鉄、酸化鉄およびそれらの混合物から成る群か ら選択される請求の範囲第2項記載の吸着材。 4. 上記遷移金属含有成分が本質的に磁鉄鉱から成る請求の範囲第3項記載 の吸着材。 5. 上記ケイ質酸化物被膜がその外側表面にヒドロキシル基を含む請求の範 囲第1項記載の吸着材。 6. 上記ケイ質酸化物被膜が本質的にシリカから成る請求の範囲第5項記載 の吸着材。 7. 上記ケイ質酸化物被膜が外側に出入り可能な細孔を含む請求の範囲第1 項記載の吸着材。 8. 上記粒子が細孔容積を窒素BET方法で測定して上記粒子の全乾燥重量 を基準に少なくとも約0.2ml/g含む請求の範囲第7項記 載の吸着材。 9. 上記粒子が表面積を窒素BET方法で測定して上記粒子の全乾燥重量を 基準に少なくとも約30m2/g有する請求の範囲第1項記載の吸着材。 10. 上記コアがこのコアと上記酸化物被膜を一緒にした乾燥基準重量を基 準にして上記粒子の少なくとも約50重量%を構成している請求の範囲第1項記 載の吸着材。 11. 上記コアがこのコアと上記酸化物被膜を一緒にした乾燥基準重量を基 準にして上記粒子の少なくとも約60重量%を構成している請求の範囲第10項 記載の吸着材。 12. 上記コアが約100nm以下の結晶サイズを有する結晶を1つ以上含 んで成る請求の範囲第1項記載の吸着材。 13. 上記結晶(類)が約60nm以下の平均結晶サイズを有する請求の範 囲第12項記載の吸着材。 14. 上記吸着材粒子が約1−15μmの平均粒子サイズを有する請求の範 囲第1項記載の吸着材。 15. 上記吸着材粒子が約3−10μmの平均粒子サイズを有する請求の範 囲第14項記載の吸着材。 16. 上記コアが室温で超常磁性を示す材料である請求の範囲第1項記載の 吸着材。 17. 上記粒子が窒素BET方法で測定して直径が60nm以上の細孔を少 なくとも約0.2ml/gの細孔率で含む請求の範囲第8項記載の吸着材。 18. 上記超常磁性材料が約10emu/g以下の残留磁気レベル を有する請求の範囲第16項記載の吸着材。 19. 上記コア(類)が約−50℃から100℃のキュリー温度を有する材 料から本質的に成る請求の範囲第1項記載の吸着材。 20. (a)超常磁性材料、低キュリー温度の材料およびそれらの混合物か ら成る群から選択される遷移金属含有成分から本質的に成るコアを1つ以上と( b)上記コア(類)の表面上のケイ質酸化物被膜を含んで成る吸着材粒子を製造 する方法であって、 (i)上記コアの水性スラリーを生成させ、 (ii)上記スラリーにケイ質酸化物前駆体を加え、 (iii)上記スラリーに酸水溶液を加えることで上記スラリーのpHを約6− 9にまで下げ、そして (iv)段階(iii)で得られた上記スラリーから上記吸着材粒子を回収する 、 ことを含む方法。 21. 上記スラリーに熟成を段階(iii)と(iv)の間で少なくとも約 15分間受けさせる請求の範囲第20項記載の方法。 22. 段階(i)が上記コアを水性媒体中で沈澱させることを含む請求の範 囲第20項記載の方法。 23. 段階(ii)および(iii)を約60−95℃の温度で実施する請 求の範囲第22項記載の方法。 24. (v)上記回収した粒子を水で洗浄し、そして (vi)上記回収した粒子を希塩化アンモニウム溶液で更に洗浄する 、 ことを更に含む請求の範囲第20項記載の方法。 25. 上記ケイ質酸化物源にアルカリ金属ケイ酸塩の水溶液を含める請求の 範囲第20項記載の方法。 26. 上記酸に鉱酸を含める請求の範囲第20項記載の方法。 27. 上記コアを本質的に磁鉄鉱で構成させる請求の範囲第20項記載の方 法。 28. 段階(ii)と(iii)を同時に実施する請求の範囲第20項記載 の方法。
