図8に示すように、この緩み防止ナット(ロックナット)は、ボルト21に螺合するように形成され且つその上面中央部に適当な深さの凹窪22を形成せしめてなる締付ナット23と、この締付ナット23に対して重合され且つ前記ボルト21に螺合するように形成され、尚且つ下面中央部に前記凹窪22に嵌合するように形成された凸部24を備えてなる緩み止めナット25からなり、前記凸部24又は凹窪22の何れか一方の中心を締付ボルト21の軸心線に対して若干偏心させて形成している。

そして、締付ナット23に緩み止めナット25を重合せしめると共に締付ナット23の凹窪22に緩み止めナット25の凸部24を嵌入せしめられるものであるから、ボルト21に2方向のせん断力を付与せしめることができ、ナットのロッキング作用を高めることができるというものである。

この発明の緩み防止ナットは、対象の雄ネジに螺合する螺溝を有しその端面中央域に凹窪を有する凹窪付きナットと、同様に雄ネジに螺合する螺溝を有しその端面中央域に前記凹窪に嵌合する凸部を有する凸部付きナットとを具備し、前記凸部付きナットの凸部と凹窪付きナットの凹窪の中心を若干ずらしていると共に、前記凸部付きナットと凹窪付きナットの少なくとも一方にはその螺溝と軸をずらして前記雄ネジを挿通することができる挿通孔が形成されていることを特徴とする。

図1乃至図6に示すように、この実施形態の緩み防止ナット(M12)は目的物を緩まないように締め付けるためのものであって、対象のボルト1の雄ネジ2に螺合する螺溝3 (雌ネジ)を有しその端面中央域に凹窪4を有する凹窪付きナット5と、同様に雄ネジ2に螺合する螺溝6を有しその端面中央域に前記凹窪4に嵌合する凸部7を有する凸部付きナット8とを具備する。目的物は、ボルトヘッドとナットとの間9に挟み込む。
