白髪毛束((株)ビューラックス製BM-W、長さ10cm、重さ1g)をPOE(3)ラウリルエーテル硫酸ナトリウム(花王(株)製、エマール20C)の2%水溶液で十分に洗浄した後、ヘアドライヤーで乾燥した。乾燥後の毛束を市販の染毛剤((株)資生堂製、商品名:マシェリ ラスティングヘアカラー、色:シアーアッシュまたはスタイリッシュレッド)で、商品に指定されている方法で染色した後、十分に水洗し、ヘアドライヤーで乾燥した。容量100mlのサンプルビンに各シャンプー2.5gを蒸留水で100mlに希釈した溶液を注ぎ、乾燥後の染色済み毛束を詰めて、蓋で密閉した後、室温で7日震盪した。震盪終了後、蓋を開け、サンプルビン中の染色済み毛束を取り出した後、十分に水洗し、ヘアドライヤーで乾燥した。乾燥後の染色済み毛束を色差計(日本電色工業(株)製、Spectrophotometer SE 2000)で色差(ΔE)を測定した。ΔEの数値が小さいほど色落ち防止効果が高いと判断される。
