Description

The present invention relates to a foldable mobile phone, and more particularly to a foldable mobile phone capable of making a call in either an open state or a closed state.

A foldable foldable mobile phone is known as a mobile phone.

In addition, a telephone has been proposed that has two receiving unit sound ports and two transmitting microphone sound ports, and is capable of calling in two types of call modes (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The telephone set described in Patent Document 1 is not a foldable type telephone set, but includes a pair of receiving unit sound ports and a transmitting microphone sound port on the belly side and the back side of the phone. With such a configuration, a call can be made using either the ventral surface or the back surface.

。   A foldable mobile phone including a plurality of receivers is also known (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1).

特開平3−201753号公報(第2ページ、図1)JP-A-3-201753 (second page, FIG. 1) ”「N506i」は回転2軸式「リバーススタイル」で登場”、[online]、平成16年4月27日、[平成16年5月31日検索]、インターネット<URL:http://www.itmedia.co.jp/mobile/articles/0404/27/news035.html>"" N506i "appeared in the rotating 2-axis" reverse style "", [online], April 27, 2004, [May 31, 2004 search], Internet <URL: http: // www. itmedia.co.jp/mobile/articles/0404/27/news035.html>

In a foldable mobile phone, it is preferable that a call can be made in either an open state or a closed state. However, as in Patent Document 1, the phone is folded when a configuration is provided with a pair of receiving unit sound ports and a transmitting microphone sound port on the belly side and the back side of the phone, respectively, and a foldable configuration. In this state, the receiving unit sound port and the transmitting microphone sound port that are paired are very close to each other. For this reason, there arises a problem that it is difficult to make a call in a folded state.

In addition, in a foldable mobile phone, when a call can be made in either an open state or a closed state, a good call state can be realized even in the closed state as in the open state. preferable.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a foldable mobile phone capable of making a call in either an open state or a closed state. It is another object of the present invention to provide a foldable mobile phone that can realize a good call state even in the closed state as in the open state.

The connecting portion is a biaxial hinge having a first rotating shaft and a second rotating shaft arranged perpendicularly to the first rotating shaft, and the first casing rotates with the first casing. The configuration may be such that the orientation of the surface of the first casing on which the two receivers are arranged is changed by opening and closing the second casing and rotating the second rotating shaft.

From the open state to the second closed state where the surface on which the two receivers are arranged and the surface on which the transmitter is arranged are opposed from the open state, and the two receivers are arranged from the open state. You may be comprised so that transition to the 1st closed state in which a surface and the surface where a transmitter is arrange | positioned each faces outward may be possible.

In the foldable mobile phone according to the first aspect, it is possible to make a call in either the open state or the first closed state.

In the foldable mobile phone according to the second aspect, it is possible to make a call with a good sensitivity in both the open state and the first closed state.

The best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

Embodiment 1 FIG.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a first embodiment of a foldable mobile phone according to the present invention. The foldable mobile phone according to the present invention includes a first casing 51 and a second casing 54. The first housing 51 has two receivers 1 and 2 on the same surface. Hereinafter, the surface on which the receivers 1 and 2 are arranged is referred to as a first surface. In addition, a surface opposite to the first surface 52 in the first housing 51 is referred to as a second surface. In the center of the first surface 52, a liquid crystal display unit 3 for displaying characters and images is provided. The receivers 1 and 2 are arranged above and below the liquid crystal display unit 3 so as to sandwich the liquid crystal display unit 3, respectively. Of the two receivers 1 and 2, the receiver 1 located farther from the second housing 54 in a state where the two housings 51 and 54 are opened (hereinafter referred to as an open state) receives the phone in the open state. Output audio. The receiver 2 that is located closer to the second casing 54 in the open state outputs a received voice in a first closed state that will be described later. Hereinafter, the receiver 1 is referred to as an open state receiver, and the receiver 2 is referred to as a closed state receiver.

The open state use handset 1 and the closed state use handset 2 may be handsets of the same type (same type name) or may be handsets of different types (different type names). Note that the audibility characteristics of the open state receiver 1 and the audibility characteristics of the closed state receiver 2 are different. Even if the open state use handset 1 and the closed state use handset 2 are of the same type, the audibility characteristics are different. This is because the shape of the portion applied to the user's ear differs depending on whether or not the biaxial hinge 6 is present nearby.

The second housing 54 includes a key (not shown) operated by the user on the key arrangement surface 4. The second housing 54 includes the transmitter 5 at the end of the key arrangement surface 4. Here, the end of the key arrangement surface 4 on which the transmitter 5 is arranged is the end of the key arrangement surface 4 opposite to the biaxial hinge 6. In the open state shown in FIG. 1, the open state use handset 1 outputs a received voice, and the voice is input to the transmitter 5, whereby a call is performed.

The first casing 51 and the second casing 54 are connected by the biaxial hinge 6. The biaxial hinge 6 has a first rotating shaft 6a and a second rotating shaft 6b arranged perpendicular to the first rotating shaft 6a. The first rotating shaft 6 a opens and closes the first casing 51 and the second casing 54. Accordingly, the first casing 51 rotates in the direction of the solid arrow shown in FIG. 1, and as a result, the foldable mobile phone can be in a folded state. The second rotating shaft 6b is connected to the first casing and rotates the first casing 51. Accordingly, the first casing 51 rotates in the direction of the broken arrow shown in FIG. 1 with the second rotation shaft 6b as the rotation axis, and as a result, the direction of the first surface 52 also changes.

Thus, since the direction of the 1st surface 52 changes with the 2nd rotating shaft 6b, it can fold so that the 1st surface 52 may face the opposite side to the 2nd housing | casing 54 side. It is also possible to fold it so that it faces the second housing 54 side. A state in which the first surface 52 is folded so as to face the side opposite to the second housing 54 side is referred to as a first closed state. A state in which the first surface 52 is folded so as to face the second housing 54 side is referred to as a second closed state.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the foldable mobile phone in the first closed state. In the first closed state, the first surface 52 faces away from the second housing 54 side. As a result, the second surface 53, which is the surface opposite to the first surface 52 in the first housing 51, faces the key arrangement surface 4 of the second housing 54. Moreover, the open state use handset 1, the closed state use handset 2, and the liquid crystal display unit 3 arranged on the first surface 52 are exposed. In the first closed state shown in FIG. 2, the closed state use handset 2 outputs the received voice, and the voice is input to the transmitter 5 so that a call is performed. Since the transmitter 5 is provided at the end of the key arrangement surface 4, it is possible to input a transmitted voice even when the two casings 51 and 54 are folded.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the foldable mobile phone in the second closed state. In the second closed state, the first surface 52 faces the second housing 54 side. As a result, the first surface 52 of the first housing 51 faces the key arrangement surface 4 of the second housing 54 and the second surface 53 of the first housing 51 is exposed. In the second closed state, both the open state use handset 1 and the closed state use handset 2 are covered by the second casing 54 and are not exposed. In the second closed state, no call is made.

In addition, the foldable mobile phone according to the present invention detects which state is the open state, the first closed state, or the second closed state. FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram for explaining this detection operation. The first housing 51 includes a magnet 14 in the vicinity of a side surface on one side. The magnet 14 is housed inside the first housing 51. The second housing 54 includes the first magnetic force detector 15 at a location where the magnet 14 approaches in the first closed state. The second housing 54 includes the second magnetic force detector 16 at a location where the magnet 14 approaches in the second closed state. The first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 detect the magnetic force when a magnetic force is generated in the vicinity. The first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 are housed in the second housing 54. In the folding mobile phone, whether the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 are not detecting the magnetic force, whether the first magnetic force detector 15 is detecting the magnetic force, An open / close detection circuit (not shown in FIG. 4) that detects which state is the open state, the first closed state, or the second closed state, depending on whether the detector 16 detects a magnetic force. (Refer to FIG. 5 described later.) 13 is provided.

In the open state, as shown in FIG. 4, the magnet 14 exists at a position away from the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16. Therefore, in the open state, neither the first magnetic force detector 15 nor the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force. As a result, in the open state, the open / close detection circuit 13 detects that both the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 have not detected the magnetic force, that is, are in the open state.

In the first closed state, the magnet 14 approaches the first magnetic force detector 15. Therefore, in the first closed state, the first magnetic force detector 15 detects the magnetic force, and the second magnetic force detector 16 does not detect the magnetic force. As a result, in the first closed state, the open / close detection circuit 13 detects that the first magnetic force detector 15 detects the magnetic force, that is, the first closed state.

In the second closed state, the magnet 14 approaches the second magnetic force detector 16. Therefore, in the second closed state, the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force, and the first magnetic force detector 15 does not detect the magnetic force. As a result, in the second closed state, the open / close detection circuit 13 detects that the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force, that is, the second closed state.

FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing a circuit configuration of a foldable mobile phone according to the present invention. The antenna 7 transmits and receives audio signals to and from a base station (not shown). The wireless unit 8 demodulates the radio signal in the radio band transmitted from the base station and received by the antenna 7 into the audio signal in the audio band. The radio unit 8 also modulates the audio signal (audio signal in the audio band) input from the transmitter 5 into an audio signal in the radio band and transmits it to the base station via the antenna 7.

The radio unit 8 outputs the demodulated audio signal to the received audio amplifying circuit 9. This voice signal is a voice signal of the received voice. The received voice amplification circuit 9 amplifies the voice signal input from the wireless unit 8 at an amplification factor corresponding to the output signal of the open / close detection circuit 13. The received voice amplification circuit 9 changes the amplification factor when the output signal of the open / close detection circuit 13 changes. The received voice amplification circuit 9 outputs the amplified voice signal to the open state use handset 1 or the closed state use handset 2 via the handset selection circuit 10.

The receiver selection circuit 10 connects the received voice amplification circuit 9 to the open state use handset 1 or the closed state use handset 2 in accordance with the output signal of the open / close detection circuit 13. When the voice signal is input from the received voice amplification circuit 9 via the receiver selection circuit 10, the open state use handset 1 and the closed state use handset 2 convert the voice signal into voice (received voice) and output it.

When the user's transmission voice is input, the transmitter 5 converts the transmission voice into a voice signal and outputs the voice signal to the transmitter circuit 12. The transmitter circuit 12 corrects the frequency characteristic and outputs a voice signal to the transmitted voice amplifier circuit 11. The transmission voice amplifier circuit 11 amplifies the voice signal input from the transmitter circuit 12 at an amplification factor corresponding to the output signal of the open / close detection circuit 13. The transmission voice amplifying circuit 11 changes the amplification factor when the output signal of the switching detection circuit 13 changes. The transmission voice amplification circuit 11 outputs the amplified voice signal to the radio unit 8. The radio unit 8 modulates this audio signal into an audio signal in a radio band and transmits it to the base station via the antenna 7.

The open / close detection circuit 13 is connected to the reception voice amplification circuit 9, the receiver selection circuit 10, and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11. Then, a signal corresponding to the state of the folded cellular phone (open state, first closed state, or second closed state) is output to the reception voice amplification circuit 9, the receiver selection circuit 10, and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11. . That is, when the open / close detection circuit 13 detects the open state, the open / close detection circuit 13 outputs a signal indicating the open state. When the first closed state is detected, a signal indicating the first closed state is output. When the second closed state is detected, a signal indicating the second closed state is output.

When a signal indicating the first closed state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the received voice amplification circuit 9 converts the received voice signal (the voice signal input from the wireless unit 8) into the first Amplification is performed at a predetermined amplification factor as the amplification factor applied in the closed state. Further, when a signal indicating that the reception voice amplifier circuit 9 is in the open state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the amplification factor predetermined as the amplification factor applied in the open state is used for the voice signal of the reception voice. Amplify with. The gain applied in the first closed state is lower than the gain applied in the open state. In addition, the reception voice amplifying circuit 9 stops its operation when a signal indicating the second closed state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13.

When a signal indicating the first closed state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the transmission voice amplifier circuit 11 outputs a voice signal of the transmission voice (a voice signal input from the transmitter circuit 12). Amplification is performed at a predetermined amplification factor as the amplification factor applied in the first closed state. In addition, when a signal indicating that the transmission voice amplifier circuit 11 is in the open state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the voice signal of the transmission voice is determined in advance as an amplification factor applied in the open state. Amplify with amplification factor. The gain applied in the first closed state is lower than the gain applied in the open state. Further, the transmission voice amplifying circuit 11 stops its operation when a signal indicating the second closed state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13.

When a signal indicating that the first closed state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the receiver selection circuit 10 connects the receiver voice amplification circuit 9 and the closed state receiver 2. Therefore, in the first closed state, a call using the closed state use handset 2 and the transmitter 5 is possible. Further, when a signal indicating the open state is input from the open / close detection circuit 13, the receiver voice amplifier circuit 9 and the open state receiver 1 are connected. Therefore, when in the open state, a call using the open state use handset 1 and the transmitter 5 is possible.

In the first closed state, the reception voice amplification circuit 9 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 each amplify the voice signal at a lower amplification factor than in the open state. For this reason, even in the first closed state, a good call state similar to the open state can be realized. The distance between the closed state use handset 2 and the transmitter 5 in the first closed state is shorter than the distance between the open state use handset 1 and the transmitter 5 in the open state. Therefore, the distance between the transmitter 5 and the user's mouth in the first closed state is different from the distance between the transmitter 5 and the user's mouth in the open state. In comparison, the amount of acoustic coupling from receiving to transmitting is increased. Further, as already described, the audibility characteristic of the open state use handset 1 and the audibility characteristic of the closed state use handset 2 are different. In the present invention, the amplification factors in the reception voice amplification circuit 9 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 are changed between the open state and the first closed state. Even if there is a difference in audibility characteristics, the volume and echo state do not change, and a call can be made with good sensitivity both in the open state and in the first closed state.

In the second closed state, both the open-state use handset 1 and the closed-state use handset 2 are covered by the second casing 54 and cannot talk. At this time, both the reception voice amplification circuit 9 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 are input with a signal indicating the second closed state from the open / close detection circuit 13 and stop their operation. Therefore, useless power consumption can be reduced.

In the present embodiment, the biaxial hinge 6 corresponds to a connecting portion. The reception voice amplification circuit 9 corresponds to reception voice amplification means. The receiver selection circuit 10 corresponds to a receiver selection unit. The transmission voice amplification circuit 11 corresponds to transmission voice amplification means. The open / close detection circuit 13 corresponds to open / close detection means.

Embodiment 2. FIG.
FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing a foldable mobile phone according to the second embodiment. Components similar to those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those in FIG. 1 and description thereof is omitted. Further, the circuit configuration of the folding cellular phone in this embodiment is the same as the circuit configuration illustrated in FIG. The state of the foldable mobile phone shown in FIG. 1 is an open state in which the first casing 51 and the second casing 54 are opened. At this time, the open state use handset 1 outputs the received voice, and the voice is input to the transmitter 5 so that a call is performed.

In the second embodiment, the first casing 51 and the second casing 54 are connected by the hinge 17. The hinge 17 is moved from the open state to the second closed state in which the first surface 52 on which the open state use handset 1 and the closed state use handset 2 are disposed and the key placement surface 4 on which the transmitter 5 is disposed face each other. It is possible to transition. The state where the first surface 52 and the key arrangement surface 4 face each other is the second closed state because the first surface 52 is folded so as to face the second housing 54 side. In addition, the hinge 17 can also make a transition from the open state to the first closed state in which the first surface 52 and the key arrangement surface 4 are folded so as to face outward (that is, exposed). The state where the first surface 52 and the key arrangement surface 4 are folded so as to face each other is a state where the first surface 52 is folded so as to face the side opposite to the second housing 54 side. One closed state.

FIG. 7 is a side view of the foldable mobile phone according to the present embodiment. The movable range of the first casing 51 by the hinge 17 will be described with reference to FIG. The shape of the side surface of the hinge 17 is such that a semicircle is added to both ends of the rectangle as shown in FIG. The first casing 54 rotates along the outer periphery of the side surface shape of the hinge 17. When transitioning from the open state to the second closed state, the first housing 51 rotates along the hinge 17 so that the angle formed by the first surface 52 and the key arrangement surface 4 becomes small. In FIG. 7, the movable range of the first casing 51 at this time is shown as a movable range 1. Further, when the transition is made from the open state to the first closed state, the first surface is set so that the angle formed by the second surface 53 and the surface opposite to the key arrangement surface in the second housing 54 is small. The casing 51 rotates along the hinge 17. In FIG. 7, the movable range of the first casing 51 at this time is shown as a movable range 2. In the first closed state, the closed state use handset 2 outputs a received voice, and the voice is input to the transmitter 5, whereby a call is performed.

Next, operations for detecting the open state, the first closed state, and the second closed state will be described. As shown in FIG. 7, the first housing 51 includes a magnet 14 inside the housing. The second housing 54 includes the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 inside the housing. The first magnetic force detector 15 is housed in a location where the magnet 14 approaches in the first closed state. The second magnetic force detector 16 is housed in a location where the magnet 14 approaches in the second closed state.

In the open state, as shown in FIG. 7, the magnet 14 exists at a position away from the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16. Therefore, in the open state, neither the first magnetic force detector 15 nor the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force. As a result, in the open state, the open / close detection circuit 13 (see FIG. 5) indicates that both the first magnetic force detector 15 and the second magnetic force detector 16 have not detected the magnetic force, that is, are in the open state. To detect. The operations of the open / close detection circuit 13, the reception voice amplification circuit 9, the receiver selection circuit 10 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 when the open / close detection circuit 13 detects the open state are the same as those in the first embodiment. Therefore, in the open state, a call using the open state use handset 1 and the transmitter 5 becomes possible. The voice signal of the transmitted voice and the voice signal of the received voice are amplified with an amplification factor corresponding to the open state.

FIG. 8 is a side view of the foldable mobile phone when folded. FIG. 8A is a side view in the second closed state, and FIG. 8B is a side view in the first closed state. In the second closed state, the magnet 14 approaches the second magnetic force detector 16 as shown in FIG. At this time, the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force, and the first magnetic force detector 15 does not detect the magnetic force. As a result, in the second closed state, the open / close detection circuit 13 detects that the second magnetic force detector 16 detects the magnetic force, that is, the second closed state. The operations of the open / close detection circuit 13, the received voice amplification circuit 9, the receiver selection circuit 10 and the transmitted voice amplification circuit 11 when the open / close detection circuit 13 detects the second closed state are the same as in the first embodiment. It is. Therefore, in the second closed state, the reception voice amplification circuit 9 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 are input with a signal indicating the second closed state and stop operating.

In the first closed state, the magnet 14 approaches the first magnetic force detector 15 as shown in FIG. At this time, the first magnetic force detector 15 detects the magnetic force, and the second magnetic force detector 16 does not detect the magnetic force. As a result, in the first closed state, the open / close detection circuit 13 detects that the first magnetic force detector 15 detects the magnetic force, that is, the first closed state. The operations of the open / close detection circuit 13, the received voice amplification circuit 9, the receiver selection circuit 10 and the transmitted voice amplification circuit 11 when the open / close detection circuit 13 detects the first closed state are the same as those in the first embodiment. It is. Therefore, in the first closed state, a call using the closed state use handset 2 and the transmitter 5 becomes possible. Also, the voice signal of the transmitted voice and the voice signal of the received voice are amplified with an amplification factor corresponding to the first closed state.

Also in the second embodiment, the same effect as in the first embodiment can be obtained. That is, a call can be made both in the opened state and in the folded state. In any state, a call can be made with good sensitivity. In the second closed state in which both the open-state use handset 1 and the closed-state use handset 2 are covered by the second casing 54, the operations of the reception voice amplification circuit 9 and the transmission voice amplification circuit 11 are stopped. Wasteful power consumption can be reduced.

Further, in the second embodiment, in the first closed state, not only the first surface 52 on which the open state use handset 1, the open state use handset 2 and the liquid crystal display unit 3 are arranged, but also a key (not shown). .) Is also exposed (see FIG. 8B). Therefore, in the first closed state, a key operation can be performed during a call.

In the present embodiment, the hinge 17 corresponds to a connecting portion.

The present invention can be applied to a foldable mobile phone.
