Abstract
【解決手段】ガラス微粒子堆積体17を炉心管11内に挿入し、炉心管11の本体部12を上蓋13で密封して、炉心管11内を加熱しながらガラス微粒子堆積体17を透明ガラス化するガラス母材の製造で、炉心管11の本体部12と上蓋13との接合面12b,13bにおける面精度(算術平均粗さRa)を1.0μm以下とするか、又は、炉心管11の本体部12と上蓋13との接合面12b,13bにおける平坦度(表面うねり)を30μm以下とする。また、上記の構成に加えて、上蓋接合面の荷重を98N以上とする。

Description
本発明は、上述した実情に鑑みてなされたもので、炉心管の接合面における物理的条件を規制することにより、炉心管の接合面におけるガスの流通を効果的に抑制でき、安全で高品質なガラス母材の製造方法及び製造装置を提供することを課題とする。
Claims (4)
- ガラス微粒子堆積体を炉心管内に挿入し、前記炉心管の本体部を上蓋で密封して、前記炉心管内を加熱しながら前記ガラス微粒子堆積体を透明ガラス化するガラス母材の製造方法であって、
前記炉心管の本体部と上蓋との接合面における面精度(算術平均粗さRa)を1.0μm以下とすることを特徴とするガラス母材の製造方法。 - ガラス微粒子堆積体を炉心管内に挿入し、前記炉心管の本体部を上蓋で密封して、前記炉心管内を加熱しながら前記ガラス微粒子堆積体を透明ガラス化するガラス母材の製造方法であって、
前記炉心管の本体部と上蓋との接合面における平坦度(表面うねり)を30μm以下とすることを特徴とするガラス母材の製造方法。 - 前記接合面への荷重を98N以上とすることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のガラス母材の製造方法。
- ガラス微粒子堆積体を炉心管内に挿入し、前記炉心管の本体部を上蓋で密封して、前記炉心管内を加熱しながら前記ガラス微粒子堆積体を透明ガラス化するガラス母材の製造装置であって、
前記炉心管の本体部と上蓋との接合面における面精度(算術平均粗さRa)が1.0μm以下、前記炉心管の本体部と上蓋との接合面における平坦度(表面うねり)が30μm以下、前記接合面への荷重が98N以上であることを特徴とするガラス母材の製造装置。
