Abstract
Description
従って、正確で且つ信頼性があり、医者及び患者のための、小型で、低コストで、軽量で、使用が容易な、液状薬物を腸管外投与するための代替物を提供し得る、プログラム可能で且つ調節自在の輸液システムに対する需要が存在することが明らかである。
本発明の更に他の様相では、流れ状況センサアセンブリはセンサに結合したアラームを含む。更に他の様相では、アラームはセンサが閾値信号を提供すると起動するようになっている。
別の実施例ではプロセッサに、ディスペンサのポンピングが実際に止まった時に閉塞をチェックするようプロセッサに指令を出すことで、ポンピング中の“閉塞検出”が回避されるようにしたソフトウェアアルゴリズムが提供される。プロセッサはまた、流体投与装置10の初期プライミングが機能する間の正しい流れ状況をチェックするようにもプログラムすることができる。プロセッサは、センサアセンブリを介して、流体投与装置が所望の流れ状況を生じていないと判断すると流体投与装置をシャットダウンし、流体投与装置を患者に取り付ける前にアラームを発生させるようにプログラムされる。

Claims (97)
- 患者に流体を投与するための装置であって、
a)経皮的な患者アクセスツールと結合するようにした出口ポートアセンブリと、
b)出口ポートアセンブリから伸延する流路と、
c)流れ状況センサアセンブリにして、相対する第1表面及び第2表面を有し、第1表面が前記流路と接触して位置決めされる弾性のダイヤフラムと、ダイヤフラムの第2表面と接触して位置決めされ、該第2表面に隣り合うセンサチャンバを確定するチャンバ壁と、ダイヤフラムの第2表面が流路内に生じる少なくとも1つの所定の流体流れ状況に応答してチャンバ内に膨張する際に閾値信号を提供するように配列した少なくとも1つのセンサと、を含む流れ状況センサアセンブリと、

- 流れ状況センサアセンブリが、積層された少なくとも2つの層を含み、ダイヤフラムが該2つの層の間に位置決めされる請求項1の装置。
- 流れ状況センサアセンブリの、積層された少なくとも2つの層が、
第1層と、
該第1層に受けられた第2層にして、該第2層と第1層とが流路の通路を確定する少なくとも1つの溝と、前記通路と流体連通する開口とを有し、弾性のダイヤフラムが該開口を覆って該第2層に受けられる第2層と、
第2層上でダイヤフラムを覆って受けられる第3層にして、ダイヤフラムを覆うチャンバを確定するチャンバ壁を含み且つ第2層の開口と整列する第3層と、
を含んでいる請求項10の装置。 - 第2層及び第3層の一方がダイヤフラムを受ける凹所を確定し、該凹所が、ダイヤフラムが第2層と第3層との間に実質的に液密態様下に固定されるよう、ダイヤフラムの厚さと概略等しい深さを有している請求項11の装置。
- 凹所の長さ及び幅が、ダイヤフラムの長さ及び幅よりも夫々大きい請求項12の装置。
- ダイヤフラムが、可撓性及び弾性を有する薄く且つへん平な材料片を含んでいる請求項1の装置。
- センサチャンバが所定の容積を有する請求項1の装置。

該ローカルプロセッサに結合され、別個の遠隔制御装置からの流れ指令を受け、受けた流れ指令をローカルプロセッサに送る無線レシーバと、
流路と、出口ポートアセンブリと、ディスペンサと、ローカルプロセッサと、無線レシーバと、を収納するハウジングにして、ローカルプロセッサに流れ状況を提供するためのユーザー入力コンポーネントを持たないハウジングと、
を更に含む請求項1の装置。 - 流体投与装置から離間した遠隔制御装置を更に含み、該遠隔制御装置が、
リモートプロセッサと、
ユーザーが該リモートプロセッサに流れ指令を提供することができるようにリモートプロセッサに結合されたユーザーインターフェースコンポーネントと、
流体投与装置のレシーバに流れ指令を伝達するための、リモートプロセッサに結結合したトランスミッタと、
を更に含む請求項39の装置。 - 流体を流路を貫かせて出口ポートアセンブリに至らしめるためのディスペンサと、
該ディスペンサに結合され、流れ指令に基づき流体流れを出口ポートアセンブリへの流体流れを生じさせるようにプログラムされたローカルプロセッサと、
ローカルプロセッサからの流れ指令を部この、遠隔制御装置に伝達するための、ローカルプロセッサに結合された無線トランスミッタと、
流路と、出口ポートアセンブリと、ディスペンサと、ローカルプロセッサと、無線トランスミッタと、を収納するハウジングにして、ローカルプロセッサからの流れ指令をユーザーに提供するためのユーザー出力コンポーネントを持たないハウジングと、
を更に含む請求項1の装置。 - 流体投与装置とは別個の遠隔制御装置を更に含み、該遠隔制御装置が、
リモートプロセッサと、
該リモートプロセッサに結合され、ユーザーが流れ指令を受けることができるようにするためのユーザー出力コンポーネントと、
リモートプロセッサに結合され、流体投与装置のトランスミッタからの流れ指令を受けるためのレシーバと、
を含んでいる請求項41の装置。 - 遠隔制御装置が、リモートプロセッサに結合したアラームを含んでいる請求項42の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、ダイヤラムの第2表面に接触して位置決めした多数のセンサチャンバを含んでいる請求項1の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、各センサチャンバ内に少なくとも1つのセンサを含んでいる請求項44の装置。
- 各センサチャンバが所定の容積を有する請求項44の装置。
- センサアセンブリが流路に接触して位置決めした第2ダイヤフラムを含んでいる請求項1の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、第2ダイヤフラムに接触して位置決めした第2チャンバアセンブリを含んでいる請求項47の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、第2ダイヤフラムが第2チャンバ内に膨張した場合に閾値信号を提供するように配列した第2センサを含む請求項48の装置。
- センサが、センサチャンバを貫いて伸延する通路と、光学的なトランスミッタと、前記通路の対向する各端部に位置決めした光学的なレシーバと、を含む請求項1の装置。
- 患者に流体を投与するための装置であって、
a)出口ポートアセンブリから伸延する流路と、
b)流れ状況センサアセンブリにして、相対する第1表面及び第2表面を有し第1表面が前記流路に接触して位置決めされた弾性のダイヤフラムと、ダイヤフラムの第2表面に隣り合って位置決めされダイヤフラムの該第2表面に隣り合うセンサチャンバを確定するチャンバ壁と、ダイヤフラムの前記第2表面がチャンバ内に所定量膨張すると閾値信号を提供するように配列した少なくとも1つのセンサと、を含む流れ状況センサアセンブリと、
c)センサに結合したプロセッサにして、所定の最大時間以上の時間においてあるいは所定の最大時間に満たない時間においてセンサから閾値信号を受けると所望されざる流れ状況を表示する信号を提供するようにプログラムされたプロセッサと、
を含む装置。 - プロセッサに結合され、所望されざる流れ状況を表示する信号を提供すると起動するようにしたアラームを更に含む請求項51の装置。
- プロセッサに接続され、該プロセッサが所望されざる流れ状況を表示する信号を提供すると起動するようになっているアラームを更に含む請求項52の装置。
- アラームが可視アラームを含んでいる請求項52の装置。
- センサがアナログ信号を提供し、プロセッサが、前記アナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換するためのアナログ−デジタル変換器を含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- 流路がリザーバを含み、流れ状況センサアセンブリが該リザーバの端部に位置決めされる請求項51の装置。
- 流路がリザーバを含み、通路が、該リザーバと出口ポートアセンブリとの間の流体連通を提供し、流れ状況センサアセンブリが通路に接触して位置決めされる請求項51の装置。
- センサが、チャンバ内に位置決めされたスイッチを含み、ダイヤフラムの第2表面が所定量においてチャンバ内に膨張すると該第2表面が前記スイッチを閉じるようにした請求項51の装置。
- センサが、接触、光、磁気、歪み、密度、の何れか1つに応答するようにした請求項51の装置。
- センサが、チャンバ壁の、流路から最も遠い位置に位置決めされ、閉鎖状態のチャンバが所定の容積を有している請求項51の装置。
- センサが、ダイヤフラムの第2表面上に位置決めした導線と、チャンバ壁上に導線が位置決めした導線とを有する回路を含み、前記第2表面上の導線と該チャンバ壁上の導線とが、ダイヤフラムの第2表面が所定量においてチャンバ内に膨張すると相互に合わさり、回路を閉じるようにした請求項51の装置。
- センサが、チャンバ壁上に位置決めした導線と、ダイヤフラムの第2表面上に位置決めした導電性層とを有する回路を含み、第2表面が所定の流体流れ状況に応じてチャンバ内に膨張すると導電性層が前記チャンバ壁上の導線と接触して回路を閉じるようにした請求項51の装置。
- 流れ状況センサアセンブリが少なくとも2つの、積層された層を含み、ダイヤフラムが、該積層された2つの層間に位置決めされる請求項51の装置。
- 流れ状況センサアセンブリの、積層された少なくとも2つの層が、
第1層と、
該第1層に受けられた第2層にして、該第2層と第1層とが流路の通路を確定する少なくとも1つの溝と、前記通路と流体連通する開口とを有し、弾性のダイヤフラムが該開口を覆って該第2層に受けられる第2層と、
第2層上でダイヤフラムを覆って受けられる第3層にして、ダイヤフラムを覆うチャンバを確定するチャンバ壁を含み且つ第2層の開口と整列する第3層と、
を含んでいる請求項63の装置。 - 第2層及び第3層の一方がダイヤフラムを受ける凹所を確定し、該凹所が、ダイヤフラムが第2層と第3層との間に実質的に液密態様下に固定されるよう、ダイヤフラムの厚さと概略等しい深さを有している請求項64の装置。
- 凹所の長さ及び幅が、ダイヤフラムの長さ及び幅よりも夫々大きい請求項65の装置。
- ダイヤフラムが、可撓性及び弾性を有する薄く且つへん平な材料片を含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- センサチャンバが所定の容積を有する請求項51の装置。
- 流路が、治療用の流体を収納するリザーバを含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- 治療用の流体がインシュリンである請求項69の装置。
- リザーバが加圧される請求項69の装置。
- 流路が、経皮的な患者アクセスツールを含む出口ポートアセンブリを含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- 経皮的な患者アクセスツールが針を含む請求項72の装置。
- 出口ポートアセンブリと流路との流路の合計容積が実質的に固定され且つ予め決定される請求項51の装置。
- 流体をして流路を貫いて流動せしめるためのディスペンサと、
別個の遠隔制御装置からの流れ指令を受け、受けた流れ指令をローカルプロセッサに送るための、ローカルプロセッサに結合した無線レシーバと、
流路と、ディスペンサと、ローカルプロセッサと、無線レシーバとを収納するハウジングにして、ローカルプロセッサに流れ指令を提供するためのユーザー入力コンポーネントを持たないハウジングと、
を更に含む請求項51の装置。 - 流体投与装置とは別個の遠隔制御装置を更に含み、該遠隔制御装置が、
リモートプロセッサと、
該リモートプロセッサに結合され、ユーザーをしてリモートプロセッサに流れ指令を提供させ得るようにするためのユーザーインターフェースコンポーネントと、
リモートプロセッサに結合され、流体投与装置のレシーバに流れ指令を伝達するためのトランスミッタと、
を含む請求項75の装置。 - 流体をして流路を貫いて流動せしめるためのディスペンサと、
該ディスペンサに結合され、流れ指令に基づき流体を流路を通して流動せしめるようプログラムされ、更に、流れ指令を提供するようにプログラムされるローカルプロセッサと、
ローカルプロセッサに結合され、該ローカルプロセッサからの流れ指令を別個の遠隔制御装置に伝達するための無線トランスミッタと、
流路と、ディスペンサと、ローカルプロセッサと、無線トランスミッタと、を収納するハウジングにして、ローカルプロセッサからの流れ指令をユーザーに提供するためのユーザー出力コンポーネントを持たないハウジングと、
を更に含む請求項51の装置。 - 流体投与装置とは別個の遠隔制御装置を更に含み、該遠隔制御装置が、
リモートプロセッサと、
該リモートプロセッサに結合され、ユーザーをして流れ指令を受信可能とするためのユーザー出力コンポーネントと、
リモートプロセッサに結合され、流体投与装置のトランスミッタからの流れ指令を受けるためのトランスミッタと、
を更に含む請求項77の装置。 - センサアセンブリが、ダイヤフラムの第2表面に接触して位置決めした多数のセンサチャンバを含む請求項51の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、各センサチャンバ内のセンサの少なくとも1つを有する請求項79の装置。
- センサアセンブリの各センサチャンバが所定の容積を有する請求項79の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、流路に接触して位置決めした第2ダイヤフラムを含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、第2ダイヤフラムに接触して位置決めした第2チャンバを含む請求項82の装置。
- センサアセンブリが、第2ダイヤフラムが第2チャンバ内に膨張した場合に閾値信号を提供するように配列した第2センサを含んでいる請求項83の装置。
- センサが、センサチャンバを貫いて伸延する通路と、光学的なトランスミッタと、前記通路の対向する各端部に位置決めした光学的なレシーバと、を含んでいる請求項51の装置。
- プロセッサが、センサから閾値信号を受けると停止するようにプログラムされる請求項30の装置。

- 流路内の流体流れ状況を決定するための方法であって、
弾性のダイヤフラムの第1側を流路に接触させて位置決めすること、
チャンバ壁をダイヤフラムの第2表面に隣り合って位置決めし、チャンバ壁がダイヤフラムの第2表面に隣り合うセンサチャンバを確定するようにすること、
ダイヤフラムの第2表面が所定量においてチャンバ内に膨張した場合に閾値信号を提供すること、
閾値信号の持続時間を測定すること、
閾値信号の持続時間が所定の最大時間よりも長い場合あるいは所定の最小時間未満である場合に所定の流れ状況を表示する信号を提供すること、
を含む方法。 - 所定の流れ状況を表示する信号を提供する際にアラームを起動することが更に含まれる請求項89の方法。
- 所定の容積を持つセンサチャンバを提供することを更に含む請求項89の方法。
- センサチャンバを所定の容積とすること、及び、ダイヤフラムの第2表面がチャンバ壁と接触すると閾値信号が提供されるようにすることを更に含む請求項89の方法。
- 実質的に一定且つ予め決定された容積を有する流路を提供することを更に含む請求項89の方法。
- 所定の流体流れ状況が、流路における閉塞、流路内の不適正な流体流れの何れか1つを含むようにした請求項89の方法。
- 流路を閉じること、
センサチャンバの容積と少なくとも等しい容積の流体を流路内に流動せしめること、
閾値信号の持続時間が所定の最大時間に満たない場合に閉塞テストが失敗したことを表示する信号が提供されるようにすること、
を更に含む請求項89の方法。 - 流路に接触して第2ダイヤフラムを位置決めすることを更に含む請求項95の方法。
- 流路内に流体のパルス流れを提供すること、及び、流体の各パルス流れ間における閾値信号を監視すること、を更に含む請求項89の方法。
