Abstract

  The present invention is a gum package design that utilizes two separate rooms, an upper room and a lower room. Description

The paperboard material should have a clay (kaolin) emulsion coating on its outer surface and no coating on its inner surface.   As can be seen in FIG. 5, the first paperboard blank 10 is creased at multiple locations along fold lines 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48.50, 52.   As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the lateral flaps 32, 34 are folded along fold lines 42, 52, 38, 48 to form a front wing 70, and the bottom flap 30 is folded along fold lines 40, 50.   The second paperboard blank 12 is similar to the first paperboard blank 10 in many respects. When the cover flap is extended, the cover flap is asymmetric with respect to an axis extending through the chamber and the cover flap.   The package of claim 7, wherein the cover flap is selectively engageable with a front wall of the room.   The package of claim 8, wherein the front wall of the room has a receiving slot configured to selectively receive a portion of the cover flap.   The package of claim 9, wherein the receiving slot is arranged offset with respect to the axis.   The package of claim 9, wherein the receiving slot is chevron shaped.   The package of claim 7, wherein the pieces of edible product are individual plate chewing gums.
