(エ)巻尺(3)の裏側にベース板(7)を取り付け留め金具(1)とベース板で巻尺(2)を、はさみこみ固定する。固定した時、巻尺(3)○点の位置と巻尺(2)の測定点が動かない事。
(オ)巻取ケース巻尺(2)の巻取方法は、自動巻及び、手動巻のどちらでもよい。
(カ)巻取ケース、巻尺(3)の巻取方法は、巻取ストッパーを付け、中立、巻取とし中立の時は留め金具(開放している時)を手で左右(巻尺の○点方向及び巻取方向)に動き、手を離した時は動かないこと。
(B)使用方法
巻尺(2)(3)を同時にのばし、1回目の測定は巻尺(2)によって測り、測った点に留め金具(1)の○点を合わせ固定し、巻尺(3)によって2回目の寸法をはかる。2回目の測った○点に留め金具を移動し固定し、3回目を測定する。スパンの多いときはこれを繰り返す。これによって巻尺(3)で最後に測った点と巻尺(2)の全長の数字が図面寸法と一致しているか、確認する。

(イ)スパンと全長の確認が簡単に出来た。
(ウ)計算機及び暗算によるわずらわしさが無くなった。
