Abstract
Description
本発明は、意図しないフォトクロミック材料の帯電(本明細書では、活性化とも称する)を防止するUV−VIS(紫外線・可視光)防御フィルターとして機能する光吸収層を提供する。フォトクロミック材料の「帯電」又は「活性化」とは、フォトクロミック着色剤を一定の波長のUV又は可視光に暴露することによりもたらされる、可逆的色変化を意味する。
1つの実施態様において、UV暴露及び光吸収層の適用を含む多工程を有する単一プロセスの高速かつ連続的な実施を可能にすることに直接関わる単一の機械又は複数の機械において生じるその多工程プロセスの一部として、フォトクロミック着色剤を含む基材を活性な紫外線に暴露することと、その後直ちに請求項1又は4に記載の光吸収層を適用することとを含むプロセスにより、請求項1に記載の組成物を調製する。
−より高レベルのUV吸収剤(最大60重量%)を含有しているので、より薄いフィルム層を可能とし、
−例えば、ベンゾトリアゾール、ベンゾフェノン等、様々なUV吸収剤を使用し、
−熱転写性保護用オーバーコートに限らず、インクジェット印刷も可能であり、
−保護フィルターの高速インライン転写を提供し、さらに、
−TTI及びフォトクロミックインクのような感光性材料の保護用基材、特に、フォトクロミック顔料を含む基材に適用される層を提供する。
実施例1
熱転写組成物の形態の光吸収層を調製した。
実施例1のラベルに、まず、接着促進層をコーティングし、次にその上に実施例1の組成物を印刷により適用した。
標準コーティング配合技術により次の組成物を調製し、実施例1又は2に記載のとおり、PETキャリアリボンに塗布し、印刷した。
Claims (13)
- 紫外線暴露により活性化されて可逆的色変化を起こし、その色戻りは、温度に依存する速度で生じるフォトクロミック着色剤を含有する下位層に付着される、少なくとも1種の紫外線及び/又は可視光の吸収層を含む組成物であって、光吸収層が、ヒドロキシフェニルベンゾトリアゾール、ベンゾフェノン、ベンゾオキサゾン、α−シアノアクリラート、オキサニリド、トリス−アリール−s−トリアジン、ホルムアミジン、シンナマート、マロナート、ベンジリデン、サリチラート及びベンゾアート紫外線吸収剤からなる群より選択される紫外線吸収剤の層の全重量に基づき、1〜60重量%の結合剤を含む組成物。
- 光吸収層が、0.1〜1,000ミクロン厚である、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 光吸収層が、2〜100ミクロン厚であり、層の全量に基づき、35〜60重量%のUV吸収剤を含有する、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 光吸収組成物が、染料、有機顔料、無機着色顔料、金属効果顔料、金属酸化物効果顔料及び非金属酸化物効果顔料から選択される付加的成分を含有し、光吸収組成物中のこれら全成分の総量が、層の全重量に基づき1〜60重量%存在する、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 光吸収層が、トリス−アリール−s−トリアジン紫外線吸収剤を含有する、請求項1記載の組成物。
- 光吸収層を1種以上含む、請求項1記載の組成物。
- フォトクロミック着色剤が、スピロピランである、請求項1記載の組成物。
- UV暴露及び光吸収層の適用を含む多工程を有する単一プロセスの高速かつ連続的な実施を可能にすることに直接関わる単一の機械又は複数の機械において生じる多工程プロセスの一部として、フォトクロミック着色剤を含む基材を活性な紫外線に暴露することと、その後直ちに請求項1又は4に記載の光吸収層を適用することとを含む、請求項1記載の組成物の調製方法。
- 光吸収層が、熱転写、ホットスタンプ又はインクジェットプロセスにより適用される、請求項8記載の方法。
- 請求項1又は4記載の組成物でコーティングした、コーティング済熱転写リボン。
- 請求項1又は4記載の組成物を含む、インクジェット印刷用液。
- 請求項8記載の温度時間インジケーター調製方法。
- 時間温度インジケーターとしての請求項1記載の組成物の使用。
