Description

The present invention relates to a connection device.

As a nutritional supplement for patients who cannot take nutrition orally, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is performed in which a fistula is formed in the abdomen and a catheter for fistula is placed. By directly administering an enteral nutrient to the stomach via this fistula catheter, nutrition and water can be absorbed from the intestinal tract. There are various types of fistula catheters in consideration of the indwelling technique, the condition of the patient, the period of use, the operability of the caregiver, and the like.

A mouth member is joined to a pouch container filled with an enteral nutrient, and the mouth member is generally distributed with a cap placed on the mouth member. When administering enteral nutrients to a patient via a fistula catheter, remove the cap of the pouch container and replace it with a connecting device, engage the connecting device with the connector of the resin feeding tube, and then attach the feeding tube. This is done by engaging a fistula catheter. One end of the feeding tube has a shape that can be engaged with the fistula catheter, and the other end has a connection portion into which a connection device engaged with the pouch container can be press-fitted. At present, various sizes are distributed in the connecting portion provided in the feeding tube. For this reason, enteral nutrient manufacturers had to bundle a tube-shaped connecting device with a tapered tip into a pouch container for enteral nutrients so that they can be engaged with connecting portions of different sizes.

特開2006−247340号公報JP 2006-247340 A 特開2009−136427号公報JP 2009-136427 A

As described above, in the conventional method, since the caregiver administers enteral nutrient in the pouch container to the patient, it is necessary to remove the cap that seals the pouch container and replace it with a connecting device, which is troublesome for the caregiver. It was a thing. In addition, enteral nutrient manufacturers need to prepare connecting devices in addition to enteric nutrient pouch containers, which increases the number of components.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a connecting device that serves as a cap for connecting an enteral nutrient pouch container and a feeding tube alone, and further seals the enteral nutrient pouch container. This saves the trouble of the caregiver and contributes to cost reduction by reducing the number of parts, and consequently to waste reduction.

The above object is achieved by the present invention described below.
A connecting member for connecting the mouth member of the pouch container and the medical catheter, the catheter side mounting portion connected to the medical catheter on one end side, and the mouth member of the pouch container on the other end side A state in which the opening is formed on a side of the pouch side mounting portion, and the opening is sealed by the mouth member by sliding the connection member relative to the mouth member. And a connection member that switches the exposed state of the opening.

According to the present invention, the connecting device having the above characteristics is engaged with the mouth member of the pouch container for enteral nutrient so that the connecting device serves as a cap of the pouch container. Therefore, it is possible to dispense with nutrients more easily. Furthermore, since the cap of the nutrient pouch container is not necessary, it is suitable for reducing waste.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the connection device of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram for explaining a mode of engagement between the connecting device of the present invention and the pouch container, in which the connecting device serves as a cap. FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram for explaining an engagement manner between the connection device of the present invention and the pouch container, and the connection device is press-fitted into the feeding tube, and the connection device is inserted into the enteral nutrient filling portion of the pouch container. It is the figure which the given hole reached | attained and connected.

The connection member 1 is a member having a lumen 16 and connects the mouth member 3 of the pouch container 2 and the medical catheter. The connecting member 1 has a connecting portion 15 connected to the medical catheter on one end side, and an engaging portion 11 connected to the mouth member 3 of the pouch container 2 on the other end side. A hole 13 communicating with the inner cavity 16 is formed on the side surface on the proximal end side of the engaging portion 11. Further, the base end of the engaging portion 11 is closed as a sealing portion 12.

Examples of the connecting member 1 include, but are not limited to, polyolefin resins such as acrylonitrile / butadiene / styrene copolymer (ABS) resin, polyethylene resin, and polypropylene resin. You can also. In particular, a material that has little elution into the nutrient is preferable because it is in contact with the nutrient for a long time.

The size of the connecting member 1 is appropriately adjusted according to the mouth member 3 and medical catheter to be connected. Generally, the connecting member 1 has a length of about 60 to 80 mm, for example. Moreover, if the diameter of the lumen 16 is, for example, about 4 to 6 mm, it is preferable because administration of the nutrient is smooth.

The connecting portion 15 is provided on one end side of the connecting member 1 and is connected to a medical catheter. As for the shape of the connection part 15, the taper taper shape which has a slip prevention part is desirable. For example, the anti-slip material has a bamboo shoot-like structure as shown in FIG. 1, but may have a property like a sandpaper whose surface is simply roughened. It is desirable that the tapered shape is equivalent to the shape of the male luer of the catheter tip type syringe. Further, the distal end of the connection portion 15 is opened so as to communicate with the lumen 16.

The magnitude | size of the connection part 15 is suitably adjusted according to the medical catheter to be used. Generally, it is preferable that the connection part 15 is about 20-30 mm in length, the outer diameter of a front-end | tip part is about 6-8 mm, and the outer diameter of a base end part is about 10-15 mm, for example. If the dimension of the connecting portion 15 is within the above range, it can be more reliably connected to the medical catheter.

The engaging portion 11 is provided on the other end side of the connecting member 1 and is connected to the mouth member 3. The shape of the engaging portion 11 is not particularly limited, but is preferably the same shape as the mouth member 3 because it is inserted into the mouth member 3. In addition, the connection part 15 and the engaging part 11 may be formed integrally, and after forming as a separate body, you may integrate by welding etc.

The magnitude | size of the engaging part 11 is suitably adjusted according to the port member 3 connected. Generally, it is preferable that the engaging portion 11 has a length of about 40 to 50 mm, for example. Further, the outer diameter of the engaging portion 11 is preferably smaller by about 0.1 to 0.2 mm than the inner diameter of the mouth member 3. If the dimension of the engaging part 11 is in the above range, the mouth member 3 can be more reliably connected, and leakage of nutrients from the gap between the engaging part 11 and the mouth member 3 can also be prevented.

The proximal end of the engaging portion 11 is sealed so as not to communicate with the lumen 16 (sealing portion 12). As will be described later, the sealing portion 12 seals the mouth member 3 and serves as a lid of the pouch container 2.

A hole 13 is formed in the side surface of the base end portion of the engaging portion 11. The hole 13 serves as an outlet for nutrients inside the pouch container during nutrient administration. The shape of the hole 13 is preferably one having a large opening area that is difficult to resist when pumping a highly viscous nutrient, but does not have a sharp shape that can damage the pouch container during compression. A rectangular shape is desirable.

As for the size of the hole 13 provided on the side surface of the base end portion of the engaging portion 11, it is desirable that one side in the longitudinal direction of the connecting member 1 is about 5 to 10 mm and the other side is about 3 to 5 mm. Moreover, the number of the engaging parts 11 does not need to be one place, and the hole 13 may be provided in the side surface which the base end part of the engaging part 11 opposes. And in order to implement | achieve smooth pumping of a nutrient, the cross section of the hole 13 with respect to the engaging part 11 has a shape inclined with respect to the engaging part 11. FIG.

Next, a usage example of the connection device 1 of the present invention will be described. The connecting device 1 of the present invention also serves as a lid for the pouch container 2. As shown in FIG. 2, the hole 13 is covered with the mouth member 3 in the storage state. In this state, the inside of the pouch container 2 and the lumen 16 of the connection device 1 are not communicated with each other, and the nutrient solution can be kept sealed.

At the time of nutrient administration, the connecting member 1 is slid into the pouch container 2 as shown in FIG. As a result, the hole 13 is exposed inside the pouch container 2, and the lumen 16 and the pouch container 2 communicate with each other. Therefore, administration of a nutrient can be performed via the connection device 1.

The structure in which the hole 13 is changed from the communication state to the closed state can be achieved by sliding the connection member 1 and displacing the position of the hole 13, but the sliding direction is the length direction of the connection member 1. Alternatively, the rotation direction may be used. When sliding in the rotational direction, it is necessary to attach a second hole (not shown) to the mouth member 3 as well. In recent years, highly viscous nutrients have been preferred. It is desirable that the opening area of the hole 13 is equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the connection member 1 so that the hole 13 does not become the maximum portion of the liquid feeding resistance.

It is desirable to attach a fixing means to the connection member 1 and the mouth member 3 so that communication between the inside and the outside of the pouch container 2 does not occur even when an unintended press-fitting load is applied to the connection member 1. The fixing means is, for example, a claw 14 attached to the connection member 1 and a protrusion 31 attached to the mouth member 3.

Furthermore, the engaging part 11 needs a function not to leak the contents of the pouch container 2 to the outside. For this reason, an O-ring may be attached to the engaging portion 11. When the liquid tightness is simply secured by the mouth member 3 and the connecting member 1, a high degree of dimensional accuracy is required.

One end of the connection member 1 has a sealing portion 12. It is desirable that the sealing part 12 has a rounded shape so as not to damage the pouch container 2.

The present invention has been described based on the embodiments.
