In this embodiment, the thickness t of the plate member forming the grass cutter blade is 3.2 mm, and the height 3h of the protruding portion 3 is 3 mm, so that (thickness t of plate member): (height 3h of protruding portion 3) = 1: 0.94. 〔解析試験〕
本実施形態の草刈機用刃では、折曲部12が基部1の天面1aより突出して形成された突設部3が設けられているが、突設部3が設けられていない比較例に比べて、折曲部12の天面1a側に加わる応力がどの程度変化するかをコンピュータ解析により確認した。具体的には、Parametric Technology Corporation社のPro ENGINEERを用いて、図7及び図8に示すように、草刈機用刃の使用時に掛かる衝撃力の反力の方向(矢印の方向)に刃先21の両側において5kNの荷重を掛けて、基部1の挿通孔11近傍の淵のうち右側面の折曲部12側を変位しない不動域frとしたときに、折曲部12の天面1a側であるα部及びβ部に掛かる応力を算出した。α部及びβ部は、実際に草刈機用刃を使用したときに、応力が集中し亀裂が入り破損しやすい部分であり、その亀裂が成長して折曲部12の上下方向下向きに伸びて破損するなどして草刈機用刃を使用することができなくなる。そして、突設部3の高さ3hを変更した草刈機用刃についても同様に解析を行った。その結果を表1に示す。なお、比較例1において、突設部3の高さ3hが-5~0mmとなっているのは、図8に示すように、基部1の天面1aが折曲部12に向かって緩やかに湾曲しているため、天面1aの頂部における水平方向の接線から計測すると上記の幅を有しているからである。

The α and β portions are portions where stress is concentrated and cracks easily form and break when the grass cutter blade is actually used, and the cracks grow and extend downward in the vertical direction of the bent portion 12, causing breakage and making the grass cutter blade unusable. A similar analysis was also performed on grass cutter blades in which the height 3h of the protruding portion 3 was changed. The results are shown in Table 1. In Comparative Example 1, the height 3h of the protruding portion 3 is -5 to 0 mm because, as shown in FIG. 8, the top surface 1a of the base 1 is gently curved toward the bent portion 12, and therefore has the above-mentioned width when measured from the horizontal tangent at the top of the top surface 1a.

表1に示すように、突起部3を有する実施例1~実施例7の草刈機用刃は、実際に亀裂が入り破損しやすい部分であるα部において、突起部3を有していない比較例1の草刈機用刃のβ部に比べて、応力が大きく緩和されており、草刈の使用時に破損しにくい優れた耐久性を有していることが分かった。 As shown in Table 1, the grass cutter blades of Examples 1 to 7, which have protrusions 3, have a significantly reduced stress in the α portion, which is the portion that is prone to cracking and breakage, compared to the β portion of the grass cutter blade of Comparative Example 1, which does not have protrusions 3. 〔実地試験〕
次に、実際に、突起部3を有する実施例1の草刈機用刃と突起部3がない比較例1の草刈機用刃を、草刈機の回動軸Aに固定具Fを介して揺動自在に取り付けて草刈を行い、所定の時間ごとに亀裂等の状況を確認した。具体的には、図5に示すように、回動軸Aの軸方向に沿って所定の間隔で6個の実施例1の草刈機用刃を、草刈機の回動軸Aに固定具Fを介して揺動自在に取り付け、同様に、回動軸Aの軸方向に沿って同様の間隔で6個の比較例1の草刈機用刃を、同じ回動軸Aの異なる位置に固定具Fを介して揺動自在に取り付けて、石などが散在し雑草が生い茂る耕作地において草刈を約35時間行い、適時亀裂等の状況を目視にて確認した。実施例1および比較例1の6個の草刈機用刃をそれぞれ1~6と番号をつけ、α部における亀裂が全く見られないものを○、α部における亀裂が見られるものを△、亀裂が折曲部12の上下方向の下向きに成長しているものを×と評価した。その結果を表2に示す。

The six grass cutter blades of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 were numbered 1 to 6, and those with no visible cracks in the α portion were rated as ◯, those with visible cracks in the α portion as △, and those with cracks growing downward in the vertical direction of the bent portion 12 as ×. The results are shown in Table 2.

表2に示すように、草刈の時間が経過すると、実施例1の草刈機用刃は、比較例1の草刈機用刃に比べて亀裂が生じにくく、亀裂が成長しにくいことが分かった。具体的には、試験を開始してから35.6時間後において、実施例1の草刈機用刃は、1個だけα部における亀裂が見られたものの残りの5個では亀裂が全く見られず、比較例1の草刈機用刃は、3個がβ部における亀裂が見られ残りの3個がβ部に留まらずに折曲部12の上下方向の下向きにまで亀裂の成長が見られた。これらの結果は、上述した解析試験の結果をよく支持するものであった。 As shown in Table 2, it was found that as time passed during mowing, the grass cutter blade of Example 1 was less susceptible to cracks and the cracks were less likely to grow compared to the grass cutter blade of Comparative Example 1. 一の板部材が折り曲げられて形成され、草刈機の回動軸(A)に固定具(F)を介して揺動自在に取り付けられる草刈機用刃であって、
前記固定具(F)を挿通する挿通孔(11)が穿設され、折り曲げられた折曲部(12)により前記板部材が対向して形成された基部(1)と、
前記折曲部(12)から刃先(21)に向かって間隔が広くなりながら二分岐する第一稜線(R1)と第二稜線(R2)が形成され、前記第一稜線(R1)と前記第二稜線(R2)に挟まれた面を有する刃部(2)を備え、
前記折曲部(12)が前記基部(1)の天面(1a)より突出して形成された突設部(3)を有することを特徴とする草刈機用刃。
