2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, polyamide, polyester and polyolefin-based fibers have been known as fibers effective as pile yarns for artificial turf, but polyamide is particularly suitable from the viewpoint of durability. In addition, artificial grass has recently been made in the form of cut pile made of thick denier flat yarn, and in this case, the appearance and feel are generally close to those of natural grass. A relatively excellent artificial lawn suitable for. However, since the filaments constituting the pile are flat, when weaving, knitting or tufting, the bundle of filaments has flat surfaces overlapping each other, and the longitudinal direction of the flat cross section is the same as the pile forming direction. It becomes easier to line up at right angles. For this reason, the artificial grass has different vertical and horizontal directions, and easily moves in a specific direction, that is, a pile forming direction during use, which is a fatal defect as the artificial grass.

[0003] In order to eliminate such a defect, a method of artificially imparting crimp to a pile yarn has been adopted. Means for imparting crimp to the thick denier flat yarn include a twist set method, a knit de-knit method, a stuffer box method, and a fluid jet processing method. The method is most suitable. Regarding the crimp rate level, if a material having a high crimp rate is used, the artificial turf becomes carpet-like, a natural grass-like texture cannot be obtained, and the moisture content of the pile portion in use increases, and drying is performed. Pile yarns having a low crimp rate have been preferred and widely used in recent years because of the problem that the practicality is reduced by delay. However, when the fluid jetting method is used, high crimped yarn can be produced without any problem, but low crimped yarn cannot be very satisfactory if the conventional technology is used as it is. Was.

Conventionally, as polyamid monofilament artificial turf, polyhexamethylene adipamide (hereinafter, referred to as nylon 66) and polycapramamide (hereinafter, referred to as nylon 6) are used in view of production cost and product performance.
Is mainly used. Generally, nylon 66 has a higher melting point than nylon 6, and has other excellent thermal properties. In addition, the initial tensile resistance is large and the dimensional stability is good. For these reasons, nylon 66 is suitable for crimped carpets and artificial turf applications, and the product is characterized by good fatigue resistance, voluminous feel, and good shape retention. However, the flexibility is inferior to nylon 6 due to the difference in the internal structure of the crystal, the gelation speed is high and the melt stability is inferior, and sufficient temperature and humidity control is required in melt spinning. It also has the disadvantage of: . In particular, when melt-spinning a monofilament having a single-filament fineness of 100d or more with a flat cross section using nylon 66 alone, if the polymer water content is not strictly controlled, a large number of cob yarns will be generated, and many yarn breaks will occur. The efficiency is extremely poor, and stable production is extremely difficult in practice. or,
When the monofilament is subjected to fluid jet processing with heated air or the like, the temperature of the heated air is 27
Unless the yarn is plasticized at an extremely high temperature of 0 to 300 ° C. , the yarn is not easily crimped, and necessarily becomes a high crimped yarn. In order to make a low crimped yarn, the heating fluid temperature must be lowered,
At a low temperature, the plug level fluctuation of the injection processing nozzle out is large, and the yarn slack occurs at the nozzle entrance, and the yarn breakage frequently occurs. Further, the obtained yarn is also hard and lacks flexibility.

The method of mixing and melt-spinning is described, but the dyeing property is improved by this method, but the melting point,
It has the drawback that the Young's modulus is reduced and the boiling water shrinkage is increased, so that the product becomes weaker in practical use, and the stretch back property and dimensional stability are inferior to those of nylon 66 and 100%. I have.

As a result of investigations by the present inventors to solve the above problems, it was found that by mixing nylon 66 with nylon 66 at a certain ratio, breakage during spinning in the melt spinning step was significantly reduced. Furthermore, in the crimping process, the low crimped pile yarn for artificial turf is excellent in quality and texture, having a uniform resistance to fatigue in the yarn length direction at a relatively low temperature of 200 ° C. or less and without fluctuation of the plug level. Was obtained.
Further, by setting the fineness of the single yarn constituting the pile yarn to 100 d or more, there is no deterioration in physical properties and practical performance as seen in the prior art, and the characteristics of the conventional nylon 66 can be sufficiently maintained. I understood that.

The nylon 6 used in the present invention is 10 to 40% by weight, preferably 15 to 40% by weight based on the total amount of nylon.
30% by weight, especially the proportion of nylon 6 is 25% by weight
In the vicinity there is a significant improvement over nylon 66 alone pile yarns. 10% by weight of nylon 6
If the amount is smaller, the material effect of nylon 66 is large, and sufficient effects cannot be obtained in melt spinnability, crimpability and flexibility. Also, nylon 66 fatigue resistance according to the invention is less than 60 wt%, volumes feeling, no effect of such texture is obtained.

The relative viscosity of nylon 66 and nylon 6 used in the present invention is 3.0 or more. If it is less than 3.0, the thickness changes or yarn breakage immediately below the spinning nozzle during melt spinning is not preferred. The upper limit of the relative viscosity is not particularly limited, but is preferably 6.0 or less from the viewpoint of spinnability. If the relative viscosity exceeds 6.0, the viscosity of the melt becomes extremely high, and it becomes difficult to spin. It is desirable that the difference in the relative viscosity between the nylon resins is small in view of the kneading properties. The relative viscosity referred to in the present invention is a value obtained by measuring the viscosity of a solution obtained by dissolving 1 g of a thermoplastic resin in 100 ml of 98% by weight of concentrated sulfuric acid at 25 ° C. using an Ostwald viscometer.

If the fineness is less than 100 d, problems in physical properties and practical use arise, such as lowering of the melting point, Young's modulus, stretch back property and dimensional stability. In addition, the flat cross-section yarn referred to here is a yarn in which the ratio of the thickness to the width of the yarn is intentionally changed, and the flatness (width / thickness) is preferably 3.0 or more and 30.0 or less.

The pile yarn of the present invention comprises a plurality of flat cross-section yarns, the number of which can be selected as appropriate. The crimp rate of the pile yarn of the present invention is 3 to 15%. When the crimp ratio exceeds 15.0%, the artificial turf made of such crimped yarn becomes a felt-like carpet-like. This is because, when creating an artificial lawn, one of the crimped yarns is cut to free the filament group, and the filaments become entangled and freely bent to form a felt. When the crimping ratio is 15% or less, the entanglement between the filaments is reduced, and the end of the filament is not bent. However, when the crimp rate is less than 3%, the volume feeling due to the crimp disappears, and the quality of the obtained artificial grass is inferior. That is, the crimp ratio is preferably 3 to 15%, and more preferably 4 to 8%. The crimp is directly applied to the flat cross-section yarn constituting the pile yarn, but the crimp ratio hardly changes even after some flat cross-section yarns are collected into a pile yarn.

The crimp fastness is preferably 0.5 or more. Here, the crimp fastness is an index indicating the thermal stability of the crimp in warm water, and can be used to determine the degree of firmness of the crimp. The larger this value is, the stronger the crimp is Is shown. Conversely, a smaller value indicates that the heat setting is not sufficient when producing the crimped yarn. An artificial turf formed of a crimped yarn having a crimp fastness of less than 0.5 is likely to be crimped or corrugated during use, and to be in the form of a felt due to the entanglement of filaments. If the crimp fastness is 0.5 or more, the morphological change of the crimp during use is unlikely to occur, and by further setting the crimp fastness to 0.6 or more, the morphological change of the crimp hardly occurs. Good and waisted artificial grass can be obtained.

The crimping of the pile yarn of the present invention means that S, Z twist and crimp are randomly present along the axial length of the pile yarn. Note that the S and Z twists are alternate twists in which the twist is changed into an S-shape and a Z-shape. To obtain such a crimped yarn, JP-A-59-112041
The method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Publication No. H10-15083, in which a fibrous thread is injected by a heating fluid, and a buckling crimp is applied in a pushing chamber having an exhaust groove (fluid injection processing method), a twist setting method, a knit de.
Conventional methods such as a knitting method and a stuffer box method can be used, but a fluid jet processing method is most preferable in terms of manufacturing cost and production efficiency.

The method of mixing and melting nylon 66 and nylon 6 may be any conventionally known method. For example,
A method in which the pellets are kneaded with a Banbury mixer or the like, or a method in which the pellet mixture is supplied to an extruder from the beginning and melt-extruded, is usually employed. The melt spinning method in the present invention is a conventional monofilament production spinning method,
For example, a method in which a melt-spun molten filament is introduced into a cooling medium of a quenching bath provided below a spinneret, solidified by cooling, and subsequently stretched in a melt spinning-stretching process and a crimping process in separate processes. May be used, but production efficiency and quality,
From the standpoint of operation stability, it is desirable to perform both in the same process such as spin draw texture. That is, the pile yarn of the present invention is prepared by mixing nylon 66, 60 to 90% by weight and nylon 6, 40 to 10% by weight, melting, extruding, cooling, stretching, heat setting, and further crimping. By doing so you can get better.

Next, the present invention will be specifically described with reference to examples. In the present invention, the crimp rate, crimp fastness, static wet compression fatigue rate, melt spinnability, and crimp workability are values measured by the following methods. Crimping rate A multifilament yarn is applied with a tensioner of 0.02 g / d to form a lump with a lancing machine having a constant circumferential frame length (112.5 cm). Remove the scalpel from the scalpel remover and apply a load of 2.86 mg / d and place in a 60 ° C. thermostat. Then, one minute later, the length (L) is read. Crimping rate (%) = {(56.25-L) /56.25} × 100 Crimping fastness 0.02 g of a multifilament yarn with a knives removing machine having a constant circumferential frame length (112.5 cm). Apply a tension of / d to form a scallop. After removing the scalpel from the scalpel remover, the one in a free state and the one in which a load of 5.0 mg / d was applied were immersed in hot water at 60 ° C. for 30 minutes, and after being dehydrated,
After air-drying in a standard state for a day and a day, a load of 2 mg / d is applied to the sample, and each length is read after one minute.

Nylon 66 having a relative viscosity of 3.1 when sulfuric acid having a concentration of 98% is used as a solvent and nylon 6 having a relative viscosity of 3.2 are mixed, and copper phthalocyanine green is added to the mixture by 0.4%. % Weighed and blended, single yarn fineness is 520
d, set the spinning conditions so that the total fineness is 3120d,
With a normal screw-type spinning machine, the cylinder is 290 ° C ,
The spin pack was melt spun at 280 ° C. 0.3 base
One having six slit-shaped nozzle holes having a width of 3.1 mm and a width of 3.1 mm was used. The polymer discharged from the die is water-cooled and solidified, passed through a nip type first roller that can be picked up at 57 m / min, subsequently passed through a second roller that can be picked up at 182 m / min, and further has a third roller of 170 m / min. And wound with a winder at the same speed as the third roller. A hot water bath for stretching (90 ° C. ) was placed between the first roller and the second roller in order to improve the stretching ratio of the polymer, and stretching was performed between these two rollers. In addition, a steam setter was provided between the second roller and the third roller to perform a relaxation process. The crimping process is an air jet false twisting machine (supply / nip roller)
Injection false twisting was performed in the high-pressure air cylinder by a high-pressure air cylinder, a compressed air injection nozzle-take-off nip roller). The processing conditions at this time were a jet air temperature of 155 ° C. and an overfeed rate of 8%. Adjustment of the value of the crimp rate in the crimping step was performed by the air temperature and the air flow rate.

The yarn thus obtained was tufted as a pile yarn to prepare an artificial lawn. When tufting, use a gauge of 5/32 inch and pile length of 1
The thickness of the pile was adjusted by stitching so as to be 0 mm and the basis weight of the pile was 1800 g / m 2 . Tables 1, 2, and 3 show the evaluation results of the obtained pile yarns for crimping characteristics and artificial turf characteristics.
As is clear from the results in Tables 1 and 2, when the mixing ratio of N6 that satisfies the present invention is 10%, 25%, and 40%, the melt spinnability and crimpability are good, and the crimp fastness is satisfied. It was found to be good in quality, texture, and wet compression resistance.
Further, N66, 100% is poor in melt spinnability, crimp workability, quality, and texture, and conversely, N6, 100% is good in melt spinnability, crimp workability, but quality, texture and moisture resistance. Compressibility was poor.
