Description
胆汁は、肝臓内で製造され、肝臓の下に見られる洋ナシ形の器官である胆嚢内で濃縮して保存される液体である。胆汁は、小腸内の脂肪を消化するのに役立つ。胆汁が肝臓から腸に移動する方法は、胆管を介して行われる。
超音波は、良く知られている医療処置であり、一般に、たとえば産科および婦人科で使用される。超音波は、多くの場合プローブと呼ばれる振動子を使用し、圧電効果と呼ばれる原理を利用することにより、水晶結晶板を使用して高エネルギーの音波(超音波)を生成および受信する。結晶は電流を受信すると、形状を変化させ、組織の外側に移動する高エネルギーの音波を生成する。逆に、音波または圧力波が内部の組織または器官で反射する(反響する)場合、これらは結晶に衝突して電流を発する。したがって、同じ結晶を使用して、音波を送受信することができる。中央処理装置は、反響の結果として結晶が発する電流を処理し、反響パターンは超音波機械の画面上に表示され、ソノグラムと呼ばれる人体組織のコンピュータ画像を形成する。
生検は、顕微鏡下で観察して癌の徴候を検査できるように、検査のための細胞または組織を採取することである。医師が組織のサンプルのみを採取する場合、この手順は、切開生検またはコア生検として周知されている。医師が全体のしこりまたは大きい領域を採取する場合、この手順は切除生検として周知されている。針を使って組織または液体のサンプルを採取する場合、この手順は、針生検または微細針吸引として周知されている。
図2および3はシリンジ15を示し、「シリンジ」という用語は、薬剤を投与するか、および/または負圧源を提供するための何らかのデバイスまたは源を含む。以下の説明は、負圧を提供するためのシリンジ15を扱っているが、この説明は、薬剤を投与するための源にも適用され、したがって負圧は薬剤に置き換えられると考えるべきである。また、本発明の実施態様を説明するために本明細書で全体的に使用するシリンジ15は、薬剤を投与するか、および/または負圧源を提供するための機械式、電気式、電気機械式、空気圧式、油圧式、またはこれらの形式の組合せを含む何らかの器具、デバイス、機械、または装置である。
図4および5は、外科用針デバイス54と共に使用されるか、または外科用針デバイス54と関係なく使用される主本体11を示す。主本体11は、作動装置50および針組立体51を備える(図4参照)。
図1に示すとおり、このデバイスは、軸方向に配置された組織係合部分94および中間部分95を有する針54を備える針組立体51をさらに含み、これらの部分は異なる可撓性を有し、組織係合部分94が中間部分95より大きい可撓性を有する。針組立体51は、任意の針シース80および任意の探り針81(図示しない)も含む。
