Description
トポグラフィーの分析
「ジェナ・ジェナバート(Jena Jenavert)」入射光顕微鏡および表面の代表的な点に関する「ウィコ・オプティカル・プロファイラ(WYKO Optical Profiler)」干渉計を用いて表面トポグラフィーを評価した。
ライナー剥離
約5cm×7.5cmのサンプルを切断し、フィルム/PSA貼合せ物を手によってライナーから引き剥がした。ライナーからの剥離の容易さを以下の尺度で採点した。
不合格1:紙ベースの引裂、紙の裂けおよびPSA層上に残留、またはPETベース上でのPSAの凝集裂け。
不合格2:きれいに除去されたが、引き剥がすのが困難。
合格3:中程度の剥離力
合格4:容易な除去
ライナーの除去後、平坦な塗装アルミニウムパネル上でPSA面を下にして「ライナー剥離試験」からの接着剤サンプルを置いた。幅7.6cm×直径6.0cmで1226gのゴムロールを用いて、サンプルの周囲に沿って約1cm幅の領域を平らに延ばした。指圧を用いてサンプルの接着端から中心に向けてサンプルを押し付け、その後、サンプルの中心で気泡およびエアポケットに押し付けて、気泡および閉じ込められたエアポケットを押し出すのに要した時間を評価した。結果を次の通り採点した。
不合格:気泡およびエアポケットを押し出すことができなかった。
合格:気泡およびエアポケットを押し付けて平坦になった。気泡およびエアポケットを押し出すためのおよその時間を秒で報告した。
「塗布試験」で被着された接着剤を平坦なパネルから引き剥がした。接着力を次の通り採点した。
不合格1:極度に低い接着力、小さい力しか要しなかった。
合格2:パネル上に接着した。
合格3:パネルへのより強力な接着力
紙:クレー被覆78ポンド(3000平方フィート連当たり)クラフト紙、公称厚さ4.4ミル(ボイス(Boise))
PET:平滑、光沢、クリア且つ無色のポリエチレンテレフタレートフィルム、公称厚さ4ミル(「スコッチパー(Scotchpar)」(登録商標)ブランドポリエステルフィルム、スリーエム(3M))
ピエゾインキ:「スコッチプリント(Scotchprint)」(登録商標)グラフィックスのための3M Printer2500UVのためのUV硬化性インキ、同じプリンタで硬化される。
RAD−1007F剥離塗料(FCCテクノロジーズ(FCC Technologies))96部と「キャブオーシル(Cab−O−Sil)」M5シリカ(キャボット・コーポレーション(Cabot Corporation))4部の混合物を調製した。印刷された材料を有する底シートを上述したUVプロセッサーで処理した。
PSA A:
60:40重量比の酢酸エチルとヘプタンの中の23%固体溶液としての熱架橋剤を添加した、イソオクチルアクリレートとアクリル酸の90:10重量比のコポリマー
PSA B:
64:36重量比の酢酸エチルとヘプタンの中の25%固体溶液としての熱架橋剤を添加した、イソオクチルアクリレートとアクリル酸の93:7重量比のコポリマー
米国特許第5,591,786号明細書および米国特許第5,635,545号明細書で開示されたものに似たポリエステルヘキサアクリレートとポリカプロラクトンの光硬化性混合物を柔らかい液ペーストに暖め、プラスチックスキージを用いて手で305メッシュのスクリーン上に押し付けて、紙ベース上に印刷した。これは、不連続稜線の格子インチ当たり隆起した20線を提供した。稜線は幅約90マイクロメートルで、高さ約19マイクロメートルであった。
無溶媒PVCプラスチゾルを用いて実施例8を繰り返した。これは、柔らかい非融合プラスチゾルの連続した稜線の格子インチ当たり20線を提供した。稜線は高さ約16マイクロメートルであった。
上述したエポキシ配合物を用いて実施例8を繰り返した。パス当たり0.184ジュール/平方センチメートルのUVA線量で、印刷されたシートをUVプロセッサーに2回通した。硬化した堅い連続した稜線の正方形格子パターンインチ当たり20線を形成した。稜線は約135〜155マイクロメートルの幅および13〜19マイクロメートルの高さであった。連続した稜線を与えるために他のスクリーンも用いた。
スリーエム(3M)製の80gの9720クリアUV硬化性インキに3gの「アエロジル(Aerosil)」R202(デグッサ(Degussa))疎水性非晶質被覆シリコーン粉末を攪拌しつつゆっくり添加して、剪断減粘性配合物をもたらした。#4スピンドルを用いるブルックフィールドLV粘度は、
60RPMで10,000cpsを下回る
30RPMで19,800cps
12RPMで39,250cps
6RPMで62,500cps
であった。
パターン化金属板およびグラビア校正印刷機(「グラブ−A−プルフ(Grav−A−Pruf)」,マサチューセッツ州サウスハドリーのC&Gマシン(C&G Machine Co.,Inc.(South Hadley,MS))を用いてエポキシ配合物を紙上に印刷した。十分な刃圧が板に紙を押し付けた領域において連続した稜線の格子を紙に転写した。
180シリーズ「コントロールタック(Controltac)」(登録商標)グラフィックメーキングシステムフィルム(スリーエム(3M)製の接着剤裏打ちPVCフィルム製品)の片をそのシリコーン被覆剥離ライナーからきれいに且つ容易に除去し、基材上に片をしっかり押し付けるためにPA−1フラットプラスチックスキージ(3M)の縁を用いて、片を室温で指示された基材上に接着させた。約15秒後、少なくとも約20cm/分の速度で、片を基材から引き戻した。結果は、試験された基材の非剥離特性およびフィルムおよび/または基材の破壊を示している。
ポリエステルベースシート:接着したフィルムは引き剥がすのが難しく、引き裂かれた。
紙ベースシート:紙の最上層は接着剤層上で引き剥がされた。
紙ビジネスカード:カードの最上層は接着剤層上で引き剥がされた。
Claims (8)
- 第1の主面と前記第1の主面とは反対側の第2の主面を有する底基材と、
前記底基材の前記第1の主面の一部に接着させた堆積した材料を含む構造化表面と、
を含む物品であって、前記材料が少なくとも3マイクロメートルの第1の主面上の高さを有し、前記構造化表面が前記堆積した材料によって部分的に画定され、前記構造化表面が前記底基材の一端から前記底基材の第2端まで少なくとも1つの連続構造を有する物品。 - 前記物品がキャリアウェブである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記堆積した材料が順応性ではない、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記底基材が順応性ではない、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記底基材の第1の主面上に隣接して更に接着剤層を含む、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記堆積した材料がインクである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 第1の主面と前記第1の主面とは反対側の第2の主面を有する底基材を提供する工程と、
規定パターンとして底基材の前記第1の主面の少なくとも1部上に材料を堆積させる工程と、
を含む物品を製造する方法であって、前記規定パターンが前記底基材の一端から前記底基材の第2端まで少なくとも1つの連続構造を含み、前記シートの第1の表面の平均平面上の材料の高さが少なくとも3マイクロメートルである方法。 - 前記シートの第1の主面上に前記材料をスクリーン印刷することにより前記材料を堆積させる、請求項7に記載の方法。
