Description
Claims (7)
- 矩形状の導光板及び反射シートと、当該導光板の端部に向けて光を出射する光源が断面コ字状の金属フレーム内に設置された発光部と、当該導光板の全周に対応して枠状に一体成形された可撓性樹脂フレームを備え、前記光源から出射された光が前記導光板の光出射面から平面光として出射されるバックライトユニットであって、前記金属フレームが前記可撓性樹脂フレームの一の辺に組み込まれているとともに、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの前記発光部が取り付けられた辺と対向する他の辺におけるフレーム形状が断面略コ字状とされている構成とされ、前記導光板及び反射シートの一端縁が前記金属フレームのコ字状部分に差し込まれているとともに、前記導光板及び反射シートの他端縁が前記可撓性樹脂フレームの略コ字状部分に差し込まれていることを特徴とするバックライトユニット。
- 前記可撓性樹脂フレームの一の辺には係止部が複数設けられており、これら係止部と前記可撓性樹脂フレームの底部において内方に張り出し形成された底板部との間に挟み込むように前記金属フレームが挿入され固定されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記可撓性樹脂フレームの前記発光部が取り付けられた一の辺と対向する他の辺には庇部が形成され、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの底部において内方に張り出し形成された底板部とともに前記断面略コ字状のフレーム形状を構成しており、前記庇部は、その両端が前記可撓性樹脂フレームの両端部分までは形成されておらず、前記庇部の両端の長さが内方に向けて徐々に短くなるように斜めに切り欠かれていることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のバックライトユニット。
- 請求項1から3のいずれか一項記載のバックライトユニットの導光板上には光学シートが配されており、これらと液晶表示パネルとが外筐に組み込まれていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 矩形状の導光板及び反射シートと、当該導光板の端部に向けて光を出射する光源が断面コ字状の金属フレーム内に設置された発光部と、当該導光板の全周に対応して枠状に一体成形された可撓性樹脂フレームを備え、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの前記発光部が取り付けられた辺と対向する他の辺におけるフレーム形状が断面略コ字状とされている構成とされ、前記光源から出射された光が前記導光板の光出射面から平面光として出射されるバックライトの組立方法であって、前記金属フレームを前記可撓性樹脂フレームの一の辺に組み込んでから前記導光板及び反射シートの一端縁を前記金属フレームのコ字状部分に差し込んで前記導光板及び反射シートの一端を前記発光部に仮固定し、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの断面略コ字状とされた辺を若干外方に変形させるとともに、当該略コ字状部分の開放端が若干表に向くようにして、その状態で前記導光板及び反射シートの他端縁を前記可撓性樹脂フレームの略コ字状部分に差し込んで嵌合させ、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの形状を原状復帰させて組み付けることを特徴とするバックライトユニットの組立方法。
- 前記可撓性樹脂フレームの一の辺には係止部が複数設けられており、これら係止部と前記可撓性樹脂フレームの底部において内方に張り出し形成された底板部との間に挟み込むように前記金属フレームを挿入し固定することを特徴とする請求項5記載のバックライトユニットの組立方法。
- 前記可撓性樹脂フレームの前記発光部が取り付けられた一の辺と対向する他の辺には庇部が形成され、前記可撓性樹脂フレームの底部において内方に張り出し形成された底板部とともに前記断面略コ字状のフレーム形状を構成しており、前記庇部は、その両端が前記可撓性樹脂フレームの両端部分までは形成されておらず、前記庇部の両端の長さが内方に向けて徐々に短くなるように斜めに切り欠かれていることを特徴とする請求項5または6記載のバックライトユニットの組立方法。
