Description
赤外線反射材料としては例えば、黒色系材料としてCr2O3、Cu−Cr複合酸化物、Fe−Cr複合酸化物、Co−Fe−Cr複合酸化物、Cu−Cr−Mn複合酸化物などのクロムを含有する化合物が知られている(特許文献1を参照)。また、緑色系材料としては、希土類元素−アルカリ土類金属元素−Cu複合酸化物等の化合物が知られている(特許文献2を参照)。
具体的に赤外線反射材料の粒子表面に高密度シリカ被覆を行うには、まず、赤外線反射材料の水性スラリーをアルカリ化合物例えば水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、アンモニアなどによりpHを8以上、好ましくは8〜10に調整した後、加温して70℃以上、好ましくは70〜105℃とする。次いで、赤外線反射材料の水性スラリーに対してケイ酸塩を添加する。ケイ酸塩としては、ケイ酸ナトリウム、ケイ酸カリウムなどの種々のケイ酸塩を使用することができる。ケイ酸塩の添加は、通常15分間以上かけて行うのが好ましく、30分間以上がより好ましい。次いで、ケイ酸塩の添加終了後必要に応じて更に充分に撹拌し混合した後、スラリーの温度を好ましくは80℃以上、より好ましくは90℃以上に維持しながら、酸で中和する。ここで使用する酸としては、硫酸、塩酸、硝酸、リン酸、酢酸などが挙げられ、これらによりスラリーのpHを好ましくは7.5以下、より好ましくは7以下に調整して、赤外線反射材料の粒子表面に高密度シリカを被覆することができる。
また、本発明の赤外線反射材料のBET比表面積値(窒素吸着による一点法)は0.05〜80m2/g程度が好ましい。BET比表面積値が0.05m2/g未満の場合には、粒子が粗大であったり、粒子及び粒子相互間で焼結が生じた粒子となっており、着色力が低下する。より好ましくは0.2〜15m2/g、更に好ましくは0.3〜5m2/gである。BET比表面積の測定は、モノソーブMS−18(ユアサアイオニクス社製)で行うことができる。このBET比表面積値から、下記式1により球状に見なした平均粒子径を算出することができる。BET比表面積値から算出される平均粒子径は0.02〜30μm程度が好ましいが、粒子形状、粒度分布等の影響により、前記の電子顕微鏡写真から算出される平均粒子径とは異なる場合がある。

ここで、Lは平均粒子径(μm)、ρは試料の密度(g/cm3)、Sは試料のBET比表面積値(m2/g)である。
酸化イットリウムY2O3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)4.5168g、高純度二酸化チタン(石原産業製PT−301、純度99.99%)1.598g、酸化銅CuO(高純度化学研究所製)1.5908gをメノウ乳鉢で十分に混合・撹拌した後、アルミナルツボに所定量いれ、1200℃で4時間の焼成を行った。得られた粉末(試料A)は黄緑色であった。次に、得られた粉末(試料A)を、測定試料用ホルダーにのせ、それを株式会社リガク製X線回折装置「RINT1200」にセットし、Cu/Kα線、スキャンスピード3.0°/分の条件で測定を行ったところ、粉末の主成分が、Y2CuTiO6であることが確認された。
酸化イットリウムY2O3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)4.5168g、酸化銅CuO(高純度化学研究所製)0.7954g、炭酸ストロンチウムSrCO3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)1.4764g、高純度二酸化チタン(石原産業製PT−301、純度99.99%)1.598gをメノウ乳鉢で十分に混合・撹拌した後、アルミナルツボに所定量いれ、1200℃で4時間の焼成を行って、粉末(試料B)を得た。得られた粉末(試料B)を、実施例1と同様の方法によりX線で測定したところ、粉末が、Y2CuTiO6と、チタン酸ストロンチウムSrTiO3の混ざった混合物であることが確認された。
酸化イットリウムY2O3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)4.5168g、酸化銅CuO(高純度化学研究所製)0.7954g、炭酸カルシウムCaCO3(高純度化学研究者製、純度99.99%)1.0009g、高純度二酸化チタン(石原産業製PT−301、純度99.99%)1.598gをメノウ乳鉢で十分に混合・撹拌した後、アルミナルツボに所定量いれ、1200℃で4時間の焼成を行って、粉末(試料C)を得た。得られた粉末(試料C)を、実施例1と同様の方法によりX線で測定したところ、粉末が、Y2CuTiO6と、チタン酸カルシウムCaTiO3の混ざった混合物であることが確認された。
酸化イットリウムY2O3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)4.5168g、酸化銅CuO(高純度化学研究所製)0.7954g、炭酸バリウムBaCO3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)1.9737g、高純度二酸化チタン(石原産業製PT−301、純度99.99%)1.598gをメノウ乳鉢で十分に混合・撹拌した後、アルミナルツボに所定量いれ、1200℃で4時間の焼成を行って、粉末(試料D)を得た。得られた粉末(試料D)を、実施例1と同様の方法によりX線で測定したところ、粉末が、Y2CuTiO6と、チタン酸バリウムBaTiO3の混ざった混合物であることが確認された。
酸化イットリウムY2O3(高純度化学研究所製、純度99.99%)4.5168g、酸化銅CuO(高純度化学研究所製)1.5908gをメノウ乳鉢で十分に混合・撹拌した後、アルミナルツボに所定量いれ、1200℃で4時間の焼成を行って、粉末(比較試料β)を得た。得られた粉末(比較試料α)を、実施例1と同様の方法によりX線で測定したところ、粉末の主成分がY2Cu2O5であることが確認された。
まず、実施例、比較例で得た試料(A〜D、α)をメノウ乳鉢で十分に粉砕した後、その色味を観察した。得られた試料をメノウ乳鉢で十分に粉砕した後、30mmφのアルミリングに試料をいれ、9.8MPaの加重をかけ、プレス成型し、白色度計NW−1(日本電色工業社製)で粉体の色を測定した。得られた結果を表1に示す。
次に、実施例、比較例で得た試料(A〜D、α)を専用セルに入れ、紫外可視近赤外分光光度計V−670(日本分光社製、標準反射板としてスペクトラロン(Labsphere社製を使用)で、分光反射率(波長350〜2500nmの光の反射率を測定した。得られた結果を図1〜図5及び表1に示す。
Claims (9)
- 希土類元素と、銅元素と、チタン元素とを含む複合酸化物系赤外線反射材料。
- 更にアルカリ土類金属元素を含む請求項1に記載の赤外線反射材料。
- 前記希土類元素は、イットリウムを含む請求項1、2のいずれかに記載の赤外線反射材料。
- 複合酸化物の粒子表面は、無機化合物及び/又は有機化合物に被覆されている請求項1〜3のいずれに記載の赤外線反射材料。
- 前記無機化合物は、ケイ素、ジルコニウム、アルミニウム、チタン、アンチモン、リン及びスズから選ばれる少なくとも一種の元素を含む化合物である請求項4に記載の赤外線反射材料。
- 希土類化合物と、銅化合物と、チタン化合物とを混合し、焼成する複合酸化物系赤外線反射材料の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の赤外線反射材料を含有する塗料。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の赤外線反射材料を含有する樹脂組成物。
- 請求項7に記載の塗料が基材上に塗布されている赤外線反射材。
