Description
傾向となる。
図1に示す構造の電気泳動式表示装置を作成した。
実施例1における1画素を、いずれも矩形の青色サブ画素とイエロー色サブ画素、及び2つの透明サブ画素を対角状に配置したものとした以外を実施例1と同様にし、電気泳動式表示装置を完成した。
実施例1における1画素を、いずれも矩形の緑色サブ画素とマゼンダ色サブ画素、及び2つの透明サブ画素を対角状に配置したものとした以外を実施例1と同様にし、電気泳動式表示装置を完成した。
カラーフィルタとして、図3に示す、赤色サブ画素R、緑色サブ画素G、青色サブ画素B、透明サブ画素Tからフルカラーの表示装置用のものを用いたことを除いて、実施例と同様に電気泳動式表示装置を作成した。
カラーフィルタとして、図4に示す、赤色サブ画素R、3つの透明サブ画素Tからモノカラーの表示装置用のものを用いたことを除いて、実施例と同様に電気泳動式表示装置を作成した。

Claims (6)
- それぞれ白または黒を切換表示する4つの表示領域を有する1画素を複数並べた表示層に重ねて設けられる透明な受容層と、
前記受容層の前記表示層と対向する側の面と反対側の面に塗布された着色層と、を備え、
前記着色層の1画素は、
前記表示層の前記1画素に含まれる4つの表示領域のうち第1の表示領域と対向した1つの第1の着色層と、
前記第1の表示領域とは別の第2の表示領域と対向した前記第1の着色層と補色の関係にある1つの第2の着色層と、
前記第1の表示領域及び第2の表示領域とは別の2つの第3の表示領域とそれぞれ対向した2つの透明層と、からなる反射型表示装置に用いられるカラーフィルタ。 - 前記第1の着色層の面積1に対し、前記第2の着色層の面積は0.5〜2であり、前記透明層の面積は1〜7.5であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の反射型表示装置に用いられるカラーフィルタ。
- 前記第1の着色層は赤色であり、前記第2の着色層はシアン色であり、前記透明層は、透明樹脂層又は空隙であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の反射型表示装置に用いられるカラーフィルタ。
- それぞれ白または黒を切換表示する4つの表示領域を有する1画素を複数並べた表示層と、
前記表示層に重ねられた透明の受容層と、前記受容層の前記表示層と対向する側の面と反対側の面に塗布された着色層と、を含み、前記着色層の1画素は、前記表示層の前記1画素に含まれる4つの表示領域のうち第1の表示領域と対向した1つの第1の着色層と、前記第1の表示領域とは別の第2の表示領域と対向した前記第1の着色層と補色の関係にある1つの第2の着色層と、前記第1の表示領域及び第2の表示領域とは別の2つの第3の表示領域とそれぞれ対向した2つの透明層と、からなるカラーフィルタと、
前記表示層と前記受容層との間に重ねられる透明電極層と、
前記カラーフィルタに積層して設けられ、前記着色層のインキの剥離を防ぐ保護フィルムと、
を備える反射型表示装置。 - 前記表示層は、マイクロカプセル含む電気泳動表示層である請求項4に記載の反射型表示装置。
- 前記電気泳動表示層は、白色粒子と黒色粒子の2粒子を含むマイクロカプセルを樹脂中に分散したマイクロカプセル層である請求項5に記載の反射型表示装置。
