Description

The present invention relates to a pipe/wiring cover that is attached to a through hole formed in the wall of a building, and a method for installing the pipes and wiring.

Piping such as refrigerant pipes and wiring such as electric wires are often attached to through holes formed in the interior and exterior walls of a building.
For example, when installing an air conditioner, through holes are formed in the inner and outer walls of the building to connect the indoor unit and the outdoor unit with a refrigerant pipe, and the refrigerant pipe is inserted through the through hole.

When piping and wiring are attached to the through-hole, there is a risk that rainwater and pests may enter the room through the through-hole. In particular, when the through-hole is opened so as to be inclined toward the indoor side, rainwater running down the wall surface is likely to enter the room through the through-hole.
Although a method for preventing the intrusion of rainwater and pests by filling the gap between the through hole and the piping/wiring with putty or the like is known, this method is cumbersome and it is difficult to completely fill the gap between the through hole and the piping/wiring. Also, as in Patent Document 2, a protective cover may be provided for the through hole, but such a protective cover often has a simple structure in which a lid body is engaged with a base and attached, and it is difficult to reliably prevent rainwater from entering the through hole.

In addition, when the interior of a building is under negative pressure, air can enter the room through the space between the interior and exterior walls, creating discomfort.

The piping and wiring in the first embodiment is a refrigerant pipe 1 that connects an indoor unit and an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, and is installed in a wall 100 shown in FIG.
An outdoor unit is installed on the ground outside the wall 100, and an indoor unit is fixed to the wall surface on the indoor side. The outdoor unit and the indoor unit are connected by a refrigerant pipe 1 through a through hole 11.
The through hole 11 is an opening penetrating the wall 100, and a cylindrical sleeve tube 2 is installed therein. In this embodiment, the axis C of the through hole 11 and the sleeve tube 2 extends in a substantially horizontal direction.
The refrigerant pipe 1 connects the indoor units and is a pipe that transports the refrigerant to release heat from the room or take in heat from the outside, and is made of two copper pipes each covered with a heat insulating material. In addition, putty 3 is attached around the refrigerant pipe 1 when the construction is completed.

The piping/wiring cover of the present invention used for the refrigerant pipe 1 attached to the through hole 11 is composed of a cover member 4, a fixing member 5, and a fastening member 6, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, and is covered with a decorative member 7 that also functions as a protective cover. In this embodiment, the cover member 4 covers the piping/wiring on the outer side of the wall surface of the wall 100.
The cover member 4 is a flexible cylindrical sheet material made of PVC, and has a hardness sufficient to maintain the end opening in approximately the same direction as the through hole 11 when fixed in the through hole 11, as shown in Figure 4.
The fixing member 5 is a member for fixing the cover member 4 to the through hole 11, and is composed of an outer tube 51 attached to the through hole 11 and an inner tube 55 disposed inside the outer tube 51. The outer tube 51 is a cylindrical body having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the through hole 11, and an outer flange portion 52 protruding outward is formed at the end of the outer surface. In addition, a convex strip 53 protruding inward as an engagement portion is formed along the entire circumference on the inner surface of the outer tube 51. The inner tube 55 is a cylindrical body having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the outer tube 51, and an engagement portion 56 protruding outward is formed at the end of the inner surface. In addition, a concave groove 57 as an engagement portion recessed inward is formed along the entire circumference on the outer surface of the inner tube 55.
Furthermore, the convex ribs 53 and the concave grooves 57 are formed around the entire circumference of the outer tube 51 and the inner tube 55, respectively, and when the outer tube 51 and the inner tube 55 are attached to the through hole 11, the cover member 4 is engaged while being sandwiched between the convex ribs 53 and the concave grooves 57.
The fastening member 6 is a cable tie that fastens the cover member 4. Note that the fastening member 6 may be a string, an adhesive tape, or the like, in addition to the cable tie.

The decorative member 7 is made of hard resin and is composed of a base 71 that is fixed to the wall surface and a cover 72 that engages with the base 71. It houses and protects the refrigerant pipe 1 and the piping/wiring cover inside, while also improving the design.

The piping and wiring cover according to the first embodiment is installed as follows.

First, with the end of the cover member 4 positioned inside the outer pipe 51, the inner pipe 55 is inserted into the outer pipe 51 until the locking portion 56 formed on the inner pipe 55 abuts against the end of the outer pipe 51. At this time, the ridges 53 formed on the outer pipe 51 engage with the grooves 57 formed on the inner pipe 55, and the cover member 4 is sandwiched between the ridges 53 and the grooves 57, thereby attaching the cover member 4 to the fixing member 5 in a watertight manner.
Next, adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the outer tube 51, and the outer tube 51 is inserted into the sleeve tube 2 until the outer flange 52 abuts against the wall surface. At this time, as shown in Figure 4, the end of the cover member 4 opens in approximately the same direction as the axis C of the through hole 11, and this state is maintained.
Next, the refrigerant pipe 1 is passed through the through hole 11 from the inside of the wall 100 and exposed to the outdoors. At this time, since the end of the cover member 4 opens in the same direction as the axis C of the through hole 11, it is possible to prevent the end of the refrigerant pipe 1 from breaking through the cover member 4 when the refrigerant pipe 1 is attached.
Next, a clay-like putty 3 is applied around the refrigerant pipe 1.
Next, the cover member 4 and the refrigerant pipe 1 are bent downward, and the cover member 4 is fastened with the fastening members 6 at the position where the putty 3 is attached. At this time, as shown in FIG. 5, the putty 3 is deformed by the fastening members 6, and the gaps between the refrigerant pipes 1 and between the refrigerant pipes 1 and the cover member 4 are filled.
Finally, the refrigerant pipe 1 and the piping/wiring cover are stored within the decorative member 7 by engaging the cover 72 with the base 71 attached to the wall surface.

A second embodiment of the present invention will be described below. The same members and structures as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals as those in the first embodiment, unless otherwise specified, and the description thereof will be omitted.

The piping and wiring in the second embodiment is electric wires 9 connected to lighting fixtures 8 installed outdoors, and is laid on a wall 100 shown in FIG.
The wall 100 has a lighting fixture 8 attached to its outdoor surface, and a caulking material (not shown) is applied between the lighting fixture 8 and the wall 100. A through hole 11 is formed in the wall 100, and a sleeve pipe 2 is installed in the through hole 11.
The electric wire 9 extends from above inside the wall 100, bent at the through hole 11, and connected to the lighting fixture 8.

The piping and wiring cover according to the second embodiment is installed as follows.

Next, adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the outer tube 51 , and the outer tube 51 is inserted into the sleeve tube 2 until the outer flange portion 52 abuts against the inner wall surface of the wall 100 .
Next, the electric wire 9 is passed through the through hole 11 from the inside of the wall 100 through the cover member 4 and exposed to the outdoors.
Next, a clay-like putty 3 is applied around the electric wire 9.
Next, the cover member 4 is fastened by the fastening members 6 at the position where the putty 3 is attached. At this time, the putty 3 is deformed by the fastening members 6, and gaps in the electric wires 9 and gaps between the electric wires 9 and the cover member 4 are filled.
Finally, the electric wire 9 and the lighting fixture 8 are connected, and a caulking material (not shown) is applied around the lighting fixture 8, except for the bottom surface. In this way, it is possible to further prevent rainwater from entering between the lighting fixture 8 and the wall 100, and if rainwater does enter, it is possible to drain the rainwater from the bottom surface where the caulking material is not applied. In the above configuration, rainwater may enter the through hole 11 or the sleeve pipe 2 from the outside, but the purpose of the invention is to prevent rainwater from entering the inside of the room, and as long as rainwater does not enter the inside of the room, there is no problem even if rainwater enters the through hole 11 or the sleeve pipe 2.

Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the first and second embodiments, the pipe and wiring cover is attached to the outside of the wall surface of the wall 100, i.e., the wall surface on the outdoor side, but in this embodiment, the pipe and wiring cover is attached to the inside of the wall surface of the wall 100, i.e., the wall surface on the indoor side, with the aim of preventing air, pests, etc. from entering the room. Furthermore, unless otherwise specified, the same members and structures as in the first embodiment will be given the same numbers as in the first embodiment and their explanations will be omitted.

The piping and wiring in the third embodiment is the refrigerant pipe 1 connecting the indoor unit and the outdoor unit of an air conditioner, similar to the first embodiment, and is installed in a wall 100 shown in FIGS.
As shown in Fig. 7, the wall 100 is composed of an inner wall 100a and an outer wall 100b, and a space in which a refrigerant pipe 1 is arranged is formed between the inner wall 100a and the outer wall 100b. In addition, an outdoor unit 200 is installed on the ground outside the outer wall 100b of the wall 100, and an indoor unit 300 is fixed to the indoor side wall surface of the inner wall 100a. The outdoor unit 200 and the indoor unit 300 are connected by the refrigerant pipe 1 through a through hole 11.
The through hole 11 is an opening penetrating the inner wall 100a of the wall 100, and a cylindrical sleeve tube 2 is installed therein. In this embodiment, the axis C of the through hole 11 and the sleeve tube 2 extends in a substantially horizontal direction.

The piping/wiring cover of the present invention used for the refrigerant pipe 1 attached to the above-mentioned through hole 11 is composed of a cover member 4, a fixing member 501, and a fastening member 6, as shown in Figures 9 and 10, and is covered with a decorative member 7 which also functions as a protective cover.
The cover member 4 is a flexible cylindrical sheet material made of PVC, and has a hardness sufficient to maintain the end opening in approximately the same direction as the through hole 11 when fixed in the through hole 11.
The fixing member 501 is a member for fixing the cover member 4 to the through hole 11, and is composed of an outer tube 511 attached to the through hole 11 and an inner tube 551 disposed inside the outer tube 511. The outer tube 511 is a cylindrical body having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the through hole 11, and an outer flange 521 protruding outward is formed at the end of the outer surface. In addition, a convex rib 531 protruding inward is formed along the entire circumference on the inner surface of the outer tube 511 as an engagement portion, and a female screw 58 that screws into the lid portion 10 described later is formed at the end of the inner surface. The inner tube 551 is a cylindrical body having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the outer tube 511, and a locking portion 561 protruding outward is formed at the end of the outer surface. In addition, a concave groove 571 as an engagement portion that is recessed inward is formed along the entire circumference on the outer surface of the inner tube 551.
The ridges 531 and the grooves 571 are formed over the entire circumferences of the outer tube 511 and the inner tube 551, respectively. When the outer tube 511 and the inner tube 551 are attached to the through hole 11, the ridges 531 and the grooves 571 engage with each other while holding the cover member 4 therebetween.
The fastening member 6 is a cable tie that fastens the cover member 4. Note that the fastening member 6 may be a string, an adhesive tape, or the like, in addition to the cable tie.

The piping and wiring cover according to the third embodiment is installed as follows.

First, with the end of the cover member 4 positioned inside the outer tube 511, the inner tube 551 is inserted into the outer tube 511 until the locking portion 561 formed on the inner tube 551 abuts against the end of the outer tube 511. At this time, the ridge 531 formed on the outer tube 511 engages with the groove 571 formed on the inner tube 551, and the cover member 4 is sandwiched between the ridge 531 and the groove 571, thereby attaching the cover member 4 to the fixed member 501. Also, the end of the cover member 4 is pulled out to the end of the fixed member 501 on the outer flange portion 521 side.
Next, adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the outer tube 511, and the outer tube 511 is inserted into the sleeve tube 2 until the outer flange 521 abuts against the wall surface. At this time, the end of the cover member 4 opens in approximately the same direction as the axis C of the through hole 11, and this state is maintained.
Next, the refrigerant pipe 1 is inserted into the through hole 11 .
Next, a clay-like putty 3 is applied around the refrigerant pipe 1.
Next, the cover member 4 is fastened with the fastening members 6 at the position where the putty 3 is attached. At this time, the putty 3 is deformed by the fastening members 6, and the gaps between the refrigerant pipes 1 and between the refrigerant pipes 1 and the cover member 4 are filled.
Finally, the refrigerant pipe 1 and the piping/wiring cover exposed inside the room are stored within the decorative member 7 by engaging the lid 72 with the base 71 attached to the wall surface, thereby improving the design.

In the third embodiment, when the refrigerant pipe 1 is not yet inserted, such as when the piping for the air conditioner has not yet been installed, the end of the fixing member 501 can be closed with the lid 10 as shown in Fig. 11. The lid 10 has a male screw 101 threaded on its outer periphery, which is screwed into a female screw 58 formed on the inside of the inner pipe 551 to abut against a packing arranged at the end of the fixing member 501, preventing the intrusion of air, pests, etc. into the room, concealing the through hole 11, and improving the design. The attachment of the lid 10 and the fixing member 501 is not limited to screws, and may be by engagement or other methods.
When the end of the fixing member 501 is closed by the lid 10, the cover member 4 is stored in the fixing member 501 and can be pulled out from the fixing member 501 for use during piping. The fastening members 6 and installation instructions may be attached to the back surface of the lid 10. In this way, there is no need to procure new parts or installation instructions when installing piping and wiring, improving convenience.

The embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but in this embodiment, the intrusion of rainwater, air, pests, etc. from the through-hole is prevented by the cover member, so there is no need to rely on the watertightness of putty or decorative members. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent the intrusion of rainwater, etc. from the through-hole to the indoor side. Even if the through-hole is formed so as to be inclined toward the indoor side, the intrusion of rainwater to the indoor side can be prevented without any problem.
Furthermore, by deforming the clay putty using fastening members, it is possible to reliably fill gaps between pipes/wirings and between the pipes/wirings and cover members, thereby preventing the intrusion of pests and the like.
Furthermore, the cover member is sandwiched without any gaps around its entire circumference by the ridges and grooves formed on the outer tube and the inner tube, making it possible to reliably ensure watertightness between the cover member and the fixing member.
In the first embodiment, when the cover member is attached to the through hole, the end opens in substantially the same direction as the axis of the through hole until the piping or wiring is inserted, so that the cover member is not torn when the piping or wiring is inserted. In the first embodiment, even if the cover member is torn, rainwater running down the wall surface is blocked by the outer flange, so the amount of rainwater entering the through hole can be reduced.

In addition to the above-mentioned embodiments, the present invention may be modified in various ways without departing from the scope of the invention. For example, the material of the cover member is not limited to PVC, and may be rubber or other materials. In addition, as in the case of the cover member 401 shown in FIG. 12, when the material is rubber or the like, the diameter of the end is made smaller than that of the piping and wiring, so that the fastening member can be omitted. Similarly, the material of the fixing member is not limited to resin, rubber, or the like. In addition, when the materials of the cover member and the fixing member are materials that can be bonded or welded to each other, the fixing member may be formed of one member, not an outer tube and an inner tube, by connecting the two in a watertight manner by bonding or welding. In addition, when the materials of the cover member and the fixing member are materials that can be bonded to each other, in order to increase reliability, the fixing member may be formed of an outer tube and an inner tube, and further bonding may be performed between the outer tube, the inner tube, and the cover member.
13, the outer tube 511 may have an adapter 54. By attaching the adapter 54 to the fixing member 501, it becomes possible to accommodate through holes 11 and sleeve tubes 4 having different diameters.
14, a fixing member 502 may also serve as a sleeve tube to be attached to the through hole 11. In this way, the number of parts can be reduced, thereby improving productivity.
In order to improve the prevention of rainwater intrusion, a caulking material may be applied around the outer flange of the outer pipe.
In addition, in the above embodiment, a convex rib is formed as an engaging portion on the inner surface of the outer tube, and a concave groove is formed as an engaged portion on the outer surface of the inner tube, but it is also possible that a concave groove is formed as an engaged portion on the inner surface of the outer tube, and a convex rib is formed as an engaging portion on the outer surface of the inner tube.
Furthermore, the shapes of the engaging portion and the engaged portion are not limited to ridges and grooves, but may be claw-like or other shapes.
Furthermore, various shapes such as circular and non-circular may be adopted for the shapes of the piping and wiring and the shapes of the through holes.
In addition, the fixing member may be configured so that the outdoor end of the fixing member protrudes beyond the wall surface when the fixing member is attached to the through hole. By configuring in this way, rainwater is less likely to flow in even if the cover member is damaged.
In the first embodiment, the pipe/wire cover is housed inside the decorative member, but the pipe/wire cover of the present invention may also serve as the decorative member. In this case, as in the first embodiment, if the pipe/wire cover is extended to the outside of the hard fixing member and bent downward, and a cover body is provided at the lower end, design can be ensured.
In addition, in the present invention, refrigerant pipes for air conditioners and electric wires are given as examples of "piping" and "wiring", respectively, but the present invention may be used for piping and wiring other than those in the embodiments, such as hot water supply piping and cables.
Furthermore, the wall surface to which the piping/wiring cover of the present invention is attached may be any wall surface, such as a wall surface connecting rooms, a ceiling surface, or a floor surface, in addition to the exterior wall of a building.
