発明の属する技術分野 本発明は、非標準交信モード通信方式に関し、
特にフアクシミリ装置の交信モード弁別方式に関
する。 従来技術の説明 従来、フアクシミリ装置、特にCCITTで言う
G3機において、CCITTの勧告する標準交信モー
ドに加えてメーカ独自の非標準交信モードを搭載
するにあたり、これを実現する方法として、自動
着呼又は手動受信装置から、初期識別信号として
標準のデイジタル識別信号(DIS)に加えて非標
準機能信号(NSF)を送出し、自動発呼又は手
動送信装置において、前記NSFを受信すること
により、相手端末が非標準交信モードを有するこ
とを識別すると、以後、非標準交信モードを進行
させる方法をとつていた。 しかしながら、メーカ独自の非標準機能が増え
てくると、これを識別するためには、NSFを長
くしてこの中に新しい非標準機能を追加したり、
新たなNSFを追加してその中に新しい非標準機
能を表示する必要があり、結果として、交信モー
ドを識別するまでに時間がかかるという問題が発
生して来た。 従来の技術を図面を参照して説明すれば次の通
りである。 第1図は、従来のフアクシミリ装置における交
信モード決定までの通信手順を示したものであ
る。第3図は、従来のフアクシミリ装置の交信モ
ード決定にかかわる機能ブロツク図である。自動
発呼又は手動送信装置Tは、回線に接続された回
線接続タイミングTCML後、制御部1は、論理
的スイツチS1,S2をa側に設定し、トーナル
信号送出部2からCCITTが勧告する発呼局識別
信号CNGを必ず又はオプシヨン的に送出する。
自動着呼又は手動受信装置Rは、回線に接続され
た回線接続のタイミングRCML後、1.8〜2.5秒の
遅延後、制御部1が論理的スイツチS1,S2を
a側に設定し、トーナル信号送出部2から被呼局
識別信号CEDを2.6〜4.0秒送出し、それに続い
て、制御部1は論理的スイツチS1及びS2を
各々b及びa側に設定し、バイナリ信号送出部3
から初期識別信号として、非標準機能信号NSF
1,2及び標準のデイジタル識別信号DISを送出
する。自動発呼又は手動送信装置Tは、発呼局識
別信号CNG送出後、制御部1が論理的スイツチ
S2をb側に切替え、バイナリ信号受信部4によ
り、これを受信し、非標準機能信号NSF1及
び/又は2から自動着呼又は手動受信装置Rが非
標準機能を有することを識別すると、制御部1は
論理的スイツチS1及びS2を各々b及びaに切
替え、バイナリ信号送出部3から非標準な受信命
令信号NSSを送出し、以後非標準手順を進行さ
せる。自動発呼又は手動送信装置Tは、初期識別
信号としてデイジタル識別信号DISのみを受信す
れば、標準の受信命令信号DCSを送出し、以後
標準手順を進行させる。上記に説明した発呼局識
別信号CNG及び被呼局識別信号CEDは、フアク
シミリの交信モード決定において直接的作用はせ
ず、自動着呼又は手動受信装置Rが送出する初期
