In addition, the signal processing unit 3 receives the output thereof because the sleeping person 1 sets the sleep time by the sleep time setting unit 4 before sleeping. The signal processing unit 3 performs signal processing with the input signals of the detection signal and the setting signal, and the sleeping environment control unit 5 controls the environment of the bedroom (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 55-101270).

It is a thing. The in-bed determination means 9 includes a low-pass filter 13, an amplifier 14, a rectifier 15, an integrator 16, and a first comparator 17. A sleep onset determination unit 10 is connected to the bed presence determination unit 9 and includes a timer 18 and a second comparator 19.

Occur. Then, only a predetermined frequency component of the generated voltage output passes through the low pass filter 13, is amplified and rectified, and then integrated by the integrator 16. The output signal of the integrator 16 in an actual scene is shown in FIG. As shown in the figure, there is a large output when there is a rough body movement such as getting in and out of bed or rolling over, and when the person is in bed and is in a resting state, the level may be reduced due to the heartbeat of the human body or a slight movement caused by breathing. A low output is obtained, and the output becomes zero when the user is out of bed. That is, as long as the human body is present on the mattress 8 at bedtime, a low level output is obtained due to at least the above-mentioned minute body movements associated with the heartbeat and breathing of the human body. Utilizing this fact, the first comparator 17 determines that the in-bed state is present if the output signal of the integrator 16 is within the range between Va and Vb shown in FIG. Although there are individual differences in the minute body movements associated with the heartbeat and respiration of the human body as described above, Va and Vb can be obtained by subject experiments or the like.

That is, based on the finding that coarse body movement disappears when falling asleep, a state in which coarse body movement does not occur in a sleep experiment (hereinafter, referred to as “coarse body movement rest state”)
The relationship between the duration of the sleep and the probability that the sleeping person is in the sleep state in that state was obtained. The result is shown in FIG. In the figure, the horizontal axis represents the duration of the coarse body motion resting state, and the left vertical axis represents the probability that the subject is in the sleep state when the coarse body motion resting state continues for T time. Further, in the sleep state, the coarse body motion rest state continues and the sleep state shifts to the deep wave sleep, ie, the slow wave sleep. However, at a certain point, the coarse body movement occurs again and the slow wave sleep ends. Therefore, the vertical axis on the right side of the figure shows the probability that coarse body movement occurs and slow-wave sleep ends when the coarse body movement resting state continues for T time. As is clear from FIG. 5, for example, if the state of static body motion resting continues for 15 minutes, there is a probability of about 85% falling asleep, and a probability of about 10% ending slow wave sleep. By measuring the duration of static motion, it was possible to determine sleep onset at a level sufficient for practical use. That is, in the sleep onset determination means 10, when the first comparator 17 outputs, the timer 18 performs the time counting operation, and when there is no output, the timer 18 stops and resets the time counting operation. And
The second comparator 19 determines that the person is in a sleep state when the time measured by the timer 18 becomes a predetermined time or more. Here, as the value of the predetermined time, about 15 minutes is appropriate from the above experimental result.

At bedtime, in-bed determination means 9 in FIG. 1 performs in-bed detection, and only when in-sleep determination means 10 in-sleep detection is performed, in-sleep determination means 13 generates a signal. Is sent to the control means 11 and a notification means such as an alarm is operated via the smoke detector. Therefore, according to the configuration of this embodiment, there is an effect that smoke detection can be performed at the time of sleep detection.
