is not different from conventional cushion pads of this type in terms of material, but only the inner surface of the notch 2 and its surroundings are made of a high-density elastic plastic reinforcing skin layer 3 that is integrally molded with the molded pad body 1. reinforced by. That is, in the example, before pouring the polyurethane foam material into the mold, a two-component urethane coating agent that hardens at room temperature, such as Adeka Pack, is applied to the portion of the mold that will become the notch 2.
A part corresponding to the reinforcing skin layer 3 is formed by spray coating SA/SB (trade name of Asahi Denka Co., Ltd.) in one or more layers together with glass fiber chips as necessary, and then regular polyurethane foaming is applied. The material is supplied and foamed to form a molded pad body 1, and the periphery of the notch 2 in the molded pad body 1 is covered with a reinforced skin layer 3 made of high-density elastic plastic that is integrally molded with the molded pad body 1. It is assumed that it has been reinforced.

The surface layer is formed of a reinforced skin layer 3 made of high-density elastic plastic that is integrally molded with the molded pad main body 1, so it has elasticity and sufficient shape retention, and this part has durability. It also has excellent abrasion resistance and has excellent overall durability. Moreover, since the reinforcing skin layer 3 is integrally molded with the molded pad main body 1 without attaching any separate parts, there is no foreign body feeling, and it can be manufactured by a simple method, so it can be mass-produced at low cost.
Further, the reinforcing skin layer 3 is provided only on the inner surface of the vertical notch 2 provided on both sides of the rear end of the molded pad main body 1 and its surrounding area, and the cushioning properties of the main body portion that will become the seat are Since the molded pad main body 1 is not affected by this, the original sitting comfort of the molded pad body 1 is not impaired.
