Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily monitor the presence of a high frequency signal with a miniaturized device by providing an input/output connector section, a DC voltage blocking section, a frequency detection section, a display section displaying only the presence of a superimposing signal being the result of detection and a power supply section. CONSTITUTION:A cable for monitoring a superimposing signal is connected to two input/output connectors 4 independently of the direction of the signal. The monitoring device is provided with a power supply section 5 separating a required power from the conductor of a coaxial cable, and extracts a DC through a choke coil having a high input impedance to a high frequency signal to be monitored and giving no influence onto the signal and supplies power to each section. On the other hand, only a high frequency signal is separated from the high frequency signal to be monitored by a DC blocking section 1 coupled with the conductor and led to a signal detection section by frequency classifications 2. The detection section 2 detects whether or not the level of the signal at every frequency of the high frequency signal to be monitored is a prescribed level or above. The result is displayed on a display section 3 and the presence of the signal at every superimposed frequency signal is visually observed to monitor the signal.

Description of the Related Art A conventional monitor device for a signal superimposed on a coaxial cable has a direct-current connection to a coaxial core wire connected to an input / output connector 4 as shown in the configuration diagram of FIG. 3 and the external view of FIG. A monitor signal is output to the signal monitor connector 6 via a DC blocking unit 11 such as a capacitor that blocks a voltage and extracts only a high frequency signal, and a spectrum analyzer, which is a type of FFT analyzer, is connected and monitoring is performed by the combination. Since this conventional superposed signal monitoring device is a system in which an external monitoring device itself is connected to a connector, its high frequency signal is known, and moreover, it is only for confirming the presence or absence of the signal. I always needed an expensive spectrum analyzer. In addition, it is difficult to secure a place for installing the spectrum analyzer when it is used outdoors or at a high place.

The present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an external view of the present invention. In FIG. 1, a cable for monitoring the superimposed signal is connected to the two input / output connectors 4 regardless of the direction of the signal. Here, there is a power supply unit 5 that separates the power supply required for the operation of the present monitoring device from the coaxial core wire, and through a choke coil or the like that has a high input impedance and does not affect the high frequency signal to be monitored. DC is taken out to supply power to each part described later. On the other hand, with respect to the high frequency signal to be monitored, only the high frequency signal is separated by the DC blocking unit 1 coupled to the core wire and guided to the frequency-dependent signal detection unit 2.

As described above, according to the present invention, when it is desired to monitor only the presence or absence of a superimposed high frequency signal, it is not necessary to externally supply power as a monitor device.
Compared with the conventional method using an expensive spectrum analyzer as in the conventional example, it is simpler, smaller in size and lighter in weight, and does not require selection of the installation location.
