Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an instant lettering dry transfer sheet has been used for instant lettering in which a desired character or figure is peeled and transferred onto a receiving surface such as paper by pressing. The instant lettering dry transfer sheet is prepared by applying characters or figures to a dry transfer base sheet using a thermal printing device such as a word processor. As the sheet, a sheet such as disclosed in JP-A-63-128987, which is coated with a silicon resin on a substrate such as a plastic film or paper, is used. A conventional thermal transfer ink ribbon used for applying a transfer character or a graphic to such a dry transfer base sheet has a main component of a transfer ink layer which is a wax, so that a character or a graphic of The surface to be transferred (receptive surface) is mainly limited to that of paper, and it is very difficult to clearly transfer characters and figures to the surface of plastic, glass, metal, etc., and the transferred characters, etc. Has a problem that it is easily soiled and has a weak fixing force, so that it is easily separated by rubbing it with a finger or the like.

The ink layer is composed of a resin copolymer, a colorant and a filler. The ink layer can optionally include less than 30% by weight wax. When the amount of the wax contained in the ink layer is 30% by weight or more, the property similar to that of the conventional wax ink, that is, the transferred characters and the like are easily soiled, and the tendency of easy detachment increases.

A phenol resin, an epoxy resin, an acrylic resin, a maleic acid resin or the like can be used. However, when a resin other than the styrene resin and the styrene resin copolymer was used, good characters and the like could not be transferred to the surface of plastic, glass, metal or the like. According to the present invention, clear characters and the like that are strongly fixed can be transferred to those surfaces as well.

In this case, if the ink layer corresponding to the over layer has the above-mentioned ink composition, the same effect can be obtained, and the adhesion and solvent resistance may be further improved. Further, even if a focus agent is added to the silicon resin of the dry base sheet to increase the friction coefficient of the surface, the same effect can be obtained by using the ribbon of the present invention.

Next, 60 g of styrene resin and 40 g of carbon black were well mixed in 300 g of methyl ethyl ketone to prepare a coating material for forming an ink layer. This coating is applied on the release layer,
An ink layer was formed by drying to obtain a heat-sensitive transfer ink ribbon. At this time, the thickness of the ink layer after drying was 1.2 μm. Using the heat-sensitive transfer ink ribbon obtained above, a dry transfer base sheet prepared in advance by applying a silicon resin to a thickness of 0.5 μm on a polyester film having a thickness of 50 μm was used. Characters and figures were applied by a processor to prepare an instant lettering dry transfer sheet. Using the instant lettering dry transfer sheet prepared in this way, when letters and figures were transferred to each side of paper, plastic film, glass and metal, the letters and figures transferred were very clear. Moreover, even if it was rubbed with a finger, it was firmly fixed without coming off.
