Abstract

PURPOSE:To omit time and labor to repeat the reading of goods for the number of times of reading of goods equivalent to the number of goods even when several goods with same bar data exist by employing such constitution that bar data read once is stored, and it is resent. CONSTITUTION:An edge detecting part 3 detects the start point and end point of the bar data read by a bar code reading part 1. Assuming difference between start point detecting time and white bar detecting time as ta, and bar data delay time at a bar data buffer part 2 as tT, the gate 5 of the bar data buffer part 2 and a bar data storage part 4 is opened after a time tT-ta since detecting the start point. Also, the gate 5 is closed after the time t since detecting the end point, and the bar data with meaning including a margin part is stored in the bar data storage part 4. A bar data sending part 6 outputs the bar data in the bar data buffer part 2, however, outputs the bar data in the bar data storage part 4 by depressing a trigger switch 7 for resending. In other words, the bar data can be resent for any number of times.

Since the conventional pen scanner does not have a bar data storing and retransmitting function, for example, when there are several products having the same bar data, (a) the reading must be repeated by that number. I have to. Alternatively, (b) the number must be input from the main body such as a portable terminal. There was a problem.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the present invention. First, the barcode reader 1 reads the barcode. Specifically, the reflection type photosensor reads the difference in reflectance when the LED light at the tip of the pen scanner is reflected by the black and white bars, and converts it into voltage amplitude data (bar data). The bar data is sampled at a certain time interval in the bar data buffer unit 2 and temporarily stored in the buffer. This buffer is a FIFO type buffer, and the bar data is output with a delay.
The edge detector 3 detects the start and end of the bar data read by the bar code reader 1. Edge detecting unit 3, if the difference between the start detection time and the previous white bar detection time t a, the bar data delay time of the bar data buffer section 2 to the t T, t from the detection of the leading end T - After t a , the gate 5 between the bar data buffer unit 2 and the bar data storage unit 4 is opened.

Close. As a result, meaningful bar data including the blank space is stored in the bar data storage unit 4. The bar data sending unit 6 outputs the bar data in the normal bar data buffer unit 2 as it is, but outputs the bar data in the bar data storage unit 4 when the retransmission trigger switch 7 is pressed. That is, by pressing the retransmission trigger switch 7, the bar data read immediately before can be retransmitted any number of times. It is also possible to use the bar data sending unit 6 to count the number of times the retransmission trigger switch 7 is pressed and send the bar data in the bar data storage unit by the number of times.

As described above, the present invention has the following effects because the bar data read once is stored and retransmitted. Even if there are several products with the same bar data, (a) Repeat reading for that number. Alternatively, (b) the number is input from the main body such as a portable terminal. It is possible to save time and trouble.
