FIG. 3 shows an example of a conventional buffer body. In the figure, 1'is a buffer, 2 is a holding part, 3 is a buffer, and 5 is an object to be packaged. As shown in FIG. 3, the normal cushioning body 1 ′ is fitted to the article to be packaged 5 and the holding portion 2 for fixing the cushioning body 1 ′ to the article to be packaged 5, and when a shock is applied from the outside, It has a cushioning portion 3 that absorbs an impact due to its own compression or damage and reduces the impact transmitted to the holding portion 2. In this figure, the buffer portion 3 is provided only in the Z direction,
The buffer section 3 is appropriately formed at a site requiring a buffer capacity.

In FIG. 4, the area around the buffer portion 3 of the buffer body 1'is indicated by X.
The figure seen from the -Z plane is shown. The arrow C in the figure is the falling direction in which the cushioning portion 3 exhibits a cushioning capacity. As shown in FIG. 4, the buffer portion 3 is usually formed so that the cross section in the direction perpendicular to the holding portion 2 has a trapezoidal shape. Since the cushioning portion 3 projects from the holding portion 2, it easily breaks at its root portion, and the wide bottom surface prevents this.

When designing the buffer 1 ', the buffer thickness T and the pressure receiving area A of the buffer 3 are calculated according to the required buffer capacity. The buffer thickness T is the height T of the buffer section 3 shown in FIG.
The pressure receiving area A is a cross-sectional area in a direction parallel to the holding portion 2. As described above, the buffer section 3 has a trapezoidal vertical cross section,
The pressure receiving area A has a cross-sectional area of exactly half the height. These T and A are calculated by the following formula from the weight (W) of the packaged object, the drop height (H), and the allowable G value (G).

【0006】A=W×G/σ T=C×H/G ここで、Cは緩衝体の素材に固有の定数である。A = W × G / σ T = C × H / G where C is a constant peculiar to the material of the buffer body.

For example, when the weight of the packaged object is 2.4 kg, the drop height is 60 cm, the allowable G value is 30, the material constant C of the buffer is C = 2.7, and σ = 3, the pressure receiving area A = 24 cm 2 ,
The buffer wall thickness T is 5.4 cm.

From the above equation, it can be seen that in order to enhance the cushioning capacity, the cushioning section may have a narrow cross-sectional area and a slender shape having a large cushioning thickness.

However, in actuality, a cushioning body having various cushioning portions is formed and its cushioning ability (G value related to the packaged object) is formed.
When measuring, the buffer capacity as designed may not be obtained. This is because as the shape of the cushioning part becomes thinner and longer, the cushioning part bends during impact and escapes from compression (buckling).
This is because, as a result, the impact is transmitted to the object to be packaged without performing the predetermined compression. In particular, when the falling direction is a corner or a ridge that is inclined with respect to the cushioning portion, the buckling will occur more easily.

Further, even when no shock is applied, the cushioning portion located under the packaged article is subjected to the weight of the packaged article, so that the cushioning section is deformed by creep, and a predetermined cushioning is provided at the time of impact. It will not be able to exert its ability.

When the object to be packaged is heavy, the buffer part can be thickened within the range of the required cushioning capacity to prevent deformation and buckling of the buffer part. However, when the object to be packaged is light, the deformation and buckling can be prevented. Sufficient cushioning capacity cannot be obtained in the cushioning portion that does not buckle.

Embodiment and Operation FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a cushioning body of the present invention, which has a holding portion 2, a cushioning portion 3, and a supporting portion 4. FIG. 2A shows a view of the vicinity of the buffer section 3 of the present embodiment as seen from the XZ plane. FIG. 2B is a sectional view taken along the line AA ′ in FIG.

In the present invention, the buffer section 3 is conventional,
It is characterized in that T and A are set on the basis of the above-mentioned formula, and further, the support portion 4 for supporting the buffer portion 3 is provided at one end of the buffer portion 3. The support portion 4 according to the present invention extends laterally around the end portion of the buffer portion 3 and has a substantially T-shape in cross section (FIG. 2 (b)). At the same time, the supporting portion 4 is inclined and protrudes from the holding portion 2.

In the present invention, since the support portion 4 exists at the end portion of the buffer portion 3, the buffer portion 3 cannot be bent,
Therefore, conventional buckling is prevented. In addition, this support portion 4
Since the slopingly protrudes from the holding portion 2, when it receives an impact, it falls toward the cushioning portion 3 side and is not compressed like the cushioning portion 3. That is, since there is no cushioning action, the pressure receiving area A is only the shaded portion in FIG. 2B, and it is not necessary to make the cushioning portion 3 thin by providing the supporting portion 4. Therefore, in the conventional thin or long buffer,
It is possible to reliably obtain the designed cushioning capacity that was not obtained due to buckling or the like.

In the present invention, the inclination angle of the support portion 4 is
The thickness of the support portion 4 is t 1 , and the shift of the support portion 4 in the X direction is t 1 .
When a 2, t 2 = 2~5t 1 is desirable. The inclination angle of the support portion 4, that is, the angle formed by the support portion 4 and the holding portion 2 is 90.
When the angle is close to 0, the cushioning effect is exhibited, and the pressure receiving area of the cushioning portion 3 must be reduced accordingly. Also, if the inclination angle is small, the collapsed support portion 4 becomes an obstacle and the compression of the buffer portion 3 is prevented, which is not preferable.

In this embodiment, the supporting portion 2 is partially parallel to the Z direction at the end portion of the supporting portion 4 opposite to the holding portion 2. This is because it becomes a ridge, and there is no problem even if the inclined surface is extended.

As is clear from Table 1, all the examples exhibited low G values on average. Conventionally, when a buffer portion was formed with the pressure receiving area of this embodiment, the buffer portion buckled and did not exhibit a predetermined buffer capacity. According to the present invention, it is possible to sufficiently obtain the cushioning ability even with a cushioning portion having a narrow pressure receiving area.

Further, in the comparative example, since the buffer body was about to come off the packaged object during the drop test, the buffer body was fixed to the packaged object with the adhesive tape. No such phenomenon was observed in the examples. This is because when the cushioning part on the top floor is crushed by the impact of a fall, it collapses inward (in the direction of the rear side of the cushioning part on the top bottom of the cushioning body fitted from the front side). This is because the force acts in the direction to remove it from the package. The buffer body of the embodiment does not fall inward due to the support portion. Therefore, the force always acts in the outward direction, that is, the direction in which the cushioning body is pressed against the article to be packaged, and there is no concern that the cushioning body will come off without being fixed to the article to be packaged.

As described above, according to the present invention, by combining the cushioning portion of the conventional cushioning body with the supporting portion having a very simple structure, it is possible to obtain a high weight which has not been obtained in a conventional lightweight packaged object. It is possible to obtain a buffer capacity and prevent damage during transportation, transshipment, and the like.
