(57)【要約】 【目的】 ディジタル映像のリアルタイム送信も含むデ
ータベースシステムにおけるディジタルデータの著作権
を管理する方法を提供する。 【構成】 許可鍵の他に必要に応じて著作権管理プログ
ラム，著作権情報あるいは著作権管理メッセージの何れ
か一つあるいは複数を用いて著作権の管理を行う。著作
権管理プログラム，著作権情報及び著作権管理メッセー
ジは、各々許可鍵とともに全体が供給される場合、デー
タとともに全体が供給される場合及び一部が許可鍵とと
もに供給され、一部がデータとともに供給される場合が
ある。データ，許可鍵，著作権管理メッセージ，著作権
情報及び著作権管理プログラムは、暗号化された状態で
送信されるが利用時には暗号が解かれる場合、暗号化さ
れた状態で送信され表示の際のみに暗号が解かれそのた
の場合は暗号化された状態である場合、全く暗号化され
ない場合がある。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明はディジタルデータの利
用，保存，複写，加工，転送における著作権の管理方法
に係るものであり、特にマルチメディアシステムに対し
て用いることを考慮したものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】情報化時代と呼ばれる今日、これまでは
各々のコンピュータが独立して保存していた各種のデー
タを通信回線で各々のコンピュータを接続することによ
って相互に利用するデータベースシステムがが普及しつ
つある。このデータベースシステムにおいてこれまでに
扱われてきた情報は古典的なコンピュータで処理するこ
とができる情報量が少ないコード化情報及びせいぜいの
ところでファクシミリ情報のようなモノクローム２値デ
ータであり、自然画及び動画のような情報量が格段に多
いデータは取扱いことができなかった。
【０００３】ところで、各種電気信号のディジタル処理
技術が発展する中で、従来はアナログ信号としてのみ扱
われていた２値データ以外の画像信号もディジタル処理
技術の開発が進められている。この画像信号のディジタ
ル化によりテレビジョン信号のような画像信号をコンピ
ュータで扱うことが可能となるため、コンピュータが扱
う各種のデータと画像信号をディジタル化した画像デー
タとを同時に取り扱う「マルチメディアシステム」が将
来の技術として注目されている。
【０００４】画像データは、文字データ及び音声データ
と比較して圧倒的に情報量が多いため、そのままでは保
存，転送あるいはコンピュータにおける各種の処理が困
難である。そのため、これらの画像データを圧縮／伸張
することが考えられ、いくつかの画像データ圧縮／伸張
用の規格が作成されてきた。その中で、共通の規格とし
てこれまでに静止画像用のＪＰＥＧ（Joint Photograph
ic image coding ExpertsGroup）規格，テレビジョン会
議用のＨ．２６１規格，画像蓄積用のＭＰＥＧ１（Movi
ng Picture image coding Experts Group 1）規格及び
現在のテレビジョン放送から高精細度テレビジョン放送
に対応するＭＰＥＧ２規格が作成された。これらの技術
により、ディジタル映像データのリアルタイム送信が可
能となってきている。
【０００５】従来広く普及しているアナログデータは保
存，複写，加工，転送をする毎に品質が劣化するため
に、これらの作業によって生じる著作権の処理は大きな
問題とはならなかった。しかし、ディジタルデータは保
存，複写，加工，転送を繰り返して行っても品質劣化が
生じないため、これらの作業によって生じる著作権の処
理は大きな問題である。これまで、ディジタルデータの
著作権処理には的確な方法がなく、著作権法であるいは
契約で処理されており、著作権法においてもディジタル
方式の録音・録画機器に対する補償金が制度化されてい
るにすぎない。
【０００６】データベースの利用法は単にその内容を参
照するだけでなく、通常は得たデータを保存，複写，加
工することによって有効活用し、加工したデータを他人
に転送したりさらにはデータベースに対して転送し、新
しいデータとして登録することさえ可能である。従来の
データベースシステムにおいては文字データのみが対象
となっていたが、マルチメディアシステムにおいては、
これまでデータベース化されていた文字等のデータに加
えて、本来アナログデータである音声データ及び画像デ
ータがディジタル化されてデータベースとされる。
【０００７】このような状況において、データベース化
されたデータの著作権をどのように取扱うかが大きな問
題となるが、これまでのところそのための著作権管理手
段、特に、保存，複写，加工，転送等についての完成さ
れた著作権管理手段はない。本発明者らは特願平４−１
９９９４２号及び特願平４−２８９０７４号で公衆電信
電話回線を通じて鍵管理センタから許可鍵を入手するこ
とによって著作権管理を行うシステムを、特願平４−２
７６９４１号でそのための装置を提案した。

【発明の概要】本願においては、これらの先願発明をさ
らに発展させることによって、ディジタル映像のリアル
タイム送信も含むデータベースシステムにおけるディジ
タルデータの表示（音声化を含む），保存，複写，加
工，転送における著作権の管理を行う方法を提供する。
【０００９】著作権の管理を行うために、本願発明が適
用されるデータベースシステムにおいては、利用申し込
み者に対して送信する利用を許可する鍵の他に、必要に
応じて著作権を管理するためのプログラム，著作権情報
あるいは著作権管理メッセージの何れか一つあるいは複
数を用いる。
【００１０】著作権管理メッセージは申し込みあるいは
許可内容に反する利用が行われようとした場合に画面に
表示され、ユーザに対して注意あるいは警告を行い、著
作権管理プログラムは申し込みあるいは許可内容に反す
る利用が行われないように監視し管理を行う。
【００１１】著作権管理プログラム，著作権情報及び著
作権管理メッセージは、各々許可鍵とともに全体が供給
される場合、データとともに全体が供給される場合及び
一部が許可鍵とともに供給され、一部がデータとともに
供給される場合がある。データ，許可鍵，著作権管理メ
ッセージ、著作権情報及び著作権管理プログラムには、
暗号化された状態で送信されるが利用時には暗号が解か
れる場合、暗号化された状態で送信され表示の際のみに
暗号が解かれその他の場合は暗号化された状態である場
合、全く暗号化されない場合、の三つの場合がある。

【実施例】以下、実施例について説明する。前に述べた
先願は許可鍵入手経路とデータ入手経路は別のものであ
るとの前提で説明されており、許可鍵は公衆電信電話回
線を経由して鍵管理センタから入手する。しかし、課金
方法さえ確立されているならばデータベースが供給され
る通信システムを経由して許可鍵を入手するようにする
ことも可能である。
【００１３】先願のシステムにおける二次的利用のため
の許可鍵は、二次利用としてデータの配信のみを想定し
ており、データのダウンロード，コピー，加工，アップ
ロード等の二次的利用を想定していない。また、配信は
申し込み者が所属するＬＡＮの内部でのみ行われること
を想定しており、外部に配信されることを想定していな
い。したがって、このシステムもユーザに著作権を尊重
する意識がなければこれらの形態の二次利用に対処する
には不十分である。
【００１４】このような各種形態の二次利用に対処する
ために、許可鍵として利用形態に対応した複数のものを
用意し、利用形態に対応した許可鍵がなければ利用する
ことが出来ないようにする。データベースの利用形態に
は、ダウンロード，表示，保存，コピー，加工，アップ
ロード等があるため、最も単純に考えればこれらに対応
する許可鍵を用意すればよい。
【００１５】しかし、いくつかの形態の利用を同時に行
おうとする場合には複数の許可鍵を入手する必要があ
り、許可鍵の入手に手落ちがあると希望する利用が行え
ない場合がある。そのような事態を回避するためには、
いくつかの形態の利用が可能である許可鍵、例えば、階
層化され上位の鍵が下位の鍵の機能を兼ねる許可鍵を用
いることもできる。
【００１６】例えば、ダウンロード・表示＜保存＜コピ
ー＜加工＜アップロードの順で下位→上位としたもので
あり、ダウンロード・表示許可鍵によってはダウンロー
ドと表示のみが可能であり、保存許可鍵によりダウンロ
ード・表示及び保存が可能であり、コピー許可鍵により
ダウンロード・表示，保存及びコピーが可能であり、加
工許可鍵によりダウンロード・表示，コピー，加工が可
能であり、アップロード許可鍵によりダウンロード・表
示，コピー，加工及びアップロードが可能であるように
する。
【００１７】先願である特願平４−２７６９４１号にお
いて本発明者らは暗号化されたデータを暗号化されたま
ま記録し、利用時に暗号を解くシステム、言い換えれ
ば、ダウンロード及び保存許可鍵を最下位の鍵とするシ
ステムを提案した。このシステムを応用して、ダウンロ
ード・保存＜コピー＜アップロード＜表示＜加工の順で
下位→上位とすることができる。すなわち、ダウンロー
ド・保存許可鍵によってはダウンロード及び保存が可能
であるが、コピー許可鍵によってダウンロード・保存と
コピーが可能であり、アップロード許可鍵によってダウ
ンロード・保存，コピーとアップロードが可能であり、
表示許可鍵によってダウンロード・保存，コピー，アッ
プロード，表示が可能であり、加工許可鍵によってダウ
ンロード・保存，コピー，アップロード，表示及び加工
が可能であるようにする。
【００１８】このシステムにおいてダウンロード・保
存，コピー及びアップロードが表示より下位にされてい
るのは、表示することができないデータをダウンロード
・保存，コピー及びアップロードしても利用は困難且つ
無意味であり、利用するためには表示を行う必要がある
からである。この階層構成は、暗号化されたデータを供
給し許可鍵を用いて利用するシステムに好適である。
【００１９】許可鍵は通常有料でユーザに提供される。
したがって、データの利用を無制限に許諾する場合は別
として、利用回数の制限を設ける必要がある場合には、
許可鍵の利用回数を１回あるいは数回に制限する。
【００２０】許可鍵があればデータを利用することがで
きるから、許可鍵を複製したり、あるいは改竄すれば許
可範囲外の利用が可能となる。このようなことを未然に
防止するためには、許可鍵を暗号化する。
【００２１】データの利用形態には、ダウンロード，表
示，保存，コピー，加工，アップロード等があり、これ
らの利用形態の許可及び禁止を行う必要がある。また、
利用回数の制限、利用形態の制限が必要な場合には、そ
のためのメッセージを表示することが望ましい。また、
情報が改竄された場合にはデータ提供者あるいはユーザ
が被害をうけることがあるから、このようなことがない
ようにする。そして、著作権管理を完全にするために原
著作権の情報、加工データについての二・三次著作権の
情報をデータに付す。これらの著作権管理は著作権管理
プログラムによって行う。
【００２２】従来のデータベースシステムにおいては、
データ自体は全く無防備な状態で供給される。したがっ
て、著作権管理はデータベースからデータを引き出す時
にしか行うことができず、以後の著作権管理はユーザの
良心に依存し、利用許可範囲外の利用を行った場合に対
処するすべはなかった。そこで、先願である特願平４−
２７６９４１号に記載されているように、データベース
から供給されるデータは暗号化された状態のもののみと
しダウンロードはこの状態で行い、さらに加えて、保
存，コピー，アップロードも暗号化された状態で行なわ
れるようにする。そして、表示・加工のときにのみ暗号
が解読されるようにし、これらの管理は著作権管理プロ
グラムによって行う。このようにすることにより、許可
範囲外の利用は不可能になる。なお、この場合著作権管
理プログラムをデータと一体化あるいは暗号化してもよ
い。
【００２３】また、著作権管理プログラムを暗号化し、
許可鍵が著作権管理プログラムの復号化を行い、著作権
管理プログラムが著作権データの復号化及び暗号化を行
うようにすることにより、データは二重に暗号化され
る。その場合、データを暗号化する著作権プログラムに
そのデータ専用の暗号鍵を付け加えれば、著作権管理プ
ログラムを切り離した場合にデータの復号化は不可能に
なる。そして、この著作権管理プログラムは許可範囲内
の利用であってもデータを保存，コピー，アップロード
をする場合には、データと著作権プログラム自体を暗号
化した後、これらの動作が行われるようにすれば、不適
切な利用は不可能になる。
【００２４】コンピュータプログラムを使用時に操作者
が不適切な操作を行った結果、コンピュータが何も対応
しないかあるいは動作が中断した場合には操作者には原
因を理解することができないため、通常はエラーメッセ
ージが表示される。同様に、データベースユーザが許可
鍵の範囲外の利用を誤って行った場合、コンピュータが
何も対応しないかあるいは動作が中断しただけである場
合には、ユーザはその原因を理解することが出来ない。
そのような場合には、著作権管理プログラムによってエ
ラーメッセージと同様に、著作権管理プログラムによっ
て著作権管理メッセージを表示する。また、このような
著作権管理メッセージの表示は、ユーザが悪意をもって
許可鍵の範囲外の利用を行った場合には警告の機能もあ
る。
【００２５】一般的に、様々なプログラムはユーザが使
用する装置内のＲＯＭに内蔵されているかあるいはソフ
トウェアから供給される。プログラムがＲＯＭに内蔵さ
れている場合にはプログラムが改変される虞がない反
面、使用する装置がこのＲＯＭが内蔵されている装置に
制限される。一方、プログラムがソフトウェアから供給
される場合には、プログラムの移植を行えば装置の制限
はないが、プログラムが改変される虞がある。
【００２６】データベースは様々なユーザが様々な装置
を用いて利用する。したがって、その著作権を管理する
プログラムがソフトウェアとして供給される場合には様
々な装置に対応することができなければならないと同時
に、改変される虞を有していてはならない。したがっ
て、このようなことを未然に防止するためには、著作権
管理プログラムを暗号化する。
【００２７】その場合、当然のこととしてユーザが使用
する装置によってプログラムを変更する必要がある。そ
のようなときには、ユーザが使用する装置の通信ソフト
ウェア中に著作権管理プログラムを翻訳するプログラム
を備えておき、この著作権管理プログラム翻訳プログラ
ムによってその装置に適合するように著作権管理プログ
ラムを翻訳する。
【００２８】ところで、前に述べたデータベースを利用
するための許可鍵自体は暗号化によって複雑になってい
たとしても、全体でせいぜい数１０バイトのデータサイ
ズで十分である。したがって、許可鍵を送信するために
必要な時間は１秒にはるかに満たない時間である。いい
かえれば、有料の公衆電信電話回線を利用した場合であ
っても許可鍵とともにその他の情報を送信しても経済的
負担の増加は無視することができる。したがって、許可
鍵を送信するときにこの時間的余裕を利用して著作権管
理プログラムを送信することができる。
【００２９】著作権管理プログラムは許可鍵とともに供
給する他にも、データとともに供給することもできる。
この場合、著作権管理プログラムをデータとともに供給
し、データの利用全体を著作権管理プログラムによって
管理するようにする。例えば、暗号化された状態で供給
されたデータがともに供給された著作権プログラムによ
らなければ暗号解除できないようにし、この著作権管理
プログラムがない場合にはデータを利用することができ
ないように構成する。このようにすることにより、著作
権の管理はより強化される。さらに進めて、著作権管理
プログラムとデータとを一体に融合させれば、著作権の
管理はさらに強化される。
【００３０】著作権管理メッセージの例としては次のよ
うな内容のものがある。 「表示許可鍵が必要です」 「保存許可鍵が必要です」 「複写許可鍵が必要です」 「加工許可鍵が必要です」 「転送許可鍵が必要です」 あるいは 「表示はできません」 「保存はできません」 「複写はできません」 「加工はできません」 「転送はできません」 これらの著作権管理メッセージは図１（ａ）に示したよ
うに単独であるいは同（ｂ）に示したように同時に複数
表示される。
【００３１】著作権管理メッセージの供給について説明
する。著作権管理メッセージを表示するためには、その
メッセージがユーザが使用する装置内のメモリに格納さ
れていなければならない。装置内のメモリにはＲＯＭと
ラＭがある。ＲＯＭに内蔵しておく方法は確実な方法で
はあるが、ユーザはこれらの著作権管理メッセージが格
納されたＲＯＭを使用しなければならないため、使用す
る機器が制限される。
【００３２】ＲＡＭに格納しておく方法には、許可鍵と
ともに供給する方法、著作権管理プログラムとともに供
給する方法及びデータとともに供給する方法がある。い
うまでもなく、許可鍵と著作権管理プログラムが同時に
供給される場合には著作権管理メッセージも同時に供給
することができる。
【００３３】著作権管理メッセージは適切なものが表示
されなければ有効ではない。そのため、メッセージを無
内容なもの、極端な場合はメッセージの内容を空にする
ことにより何も表示がされないように改変した場合には
著作権管理メッセージはその本来の役割を果たすことは
できない。このようなことを未然に防止するためには、
メッセージを暗号化する。
【００３４】著作権管理メッセージの表示は著作権管理
プログラムによって行われるが、表示の仕方には、許可
鍵がない操作を行おうとしたときに対応するメッセージ
を表示する場合と、許可鍵がない操作を行おうとしたと
きに許可鍵がある操作に対応するもの以外の全メッセー
ジを表示する場合とがある。
【００３５】これらの著作権管理メッセージは許可鍵と
ともに供給する方法と、データとともに供給する方法が
ある。著作権管理メッセージの送信は、全部のメッセー
ジを送信する場合と、必要なメッセージのみを送信する
場合とがある。前者の場合情報量は多くなるが安全性は
高いのに対し、後者の場合情報量は少なくなるが、安全
性は低い。また、供給された著作権管理メッセージは著
作権管理プログラムと一体化するといった手段により著
作権管理プログラムと同様にデータと切り離すことがで
きないようにすることが望ましい。
【００３６】印刷物等において著作権を表示するために
は著作者名と日付が用いられる。そこで、データベース
著作物の著作権の表示も同様に著作者名と日付等の情報
を記入することで行う。前に述べたように、データベー
スのデータの利用には加工及び加工されたデータのアッ
プロードが含まれる。つまり、著作物であるデータの加
工物である二次データの存在が認められている。このよ
うな中でデータ著作物の著作権を確実にするためには原
著作及び二次著作についての情報をデータとともに保存
する必要がある。そのために、データのダウンロード及
び表示以外の利用が行われた場合にそれまでの著作権情
報に加えて、操作者についての情報を含む著作権情報を
履歴としてデータとともに保存する。
【００３７】また、その場合データベース管理者のみが
原著作物を一次データとしてデータベースとすることが
できるようにし、データベース管理者以外の者が扱った
データはすべて二次データとなるようにすれば履歴の管
理はより強化される。
【００３８】ところで、これらの著作権情報が著作物で
あるデータから切り離されてしまうと著作権の確認が著
しく困難になるため、著作権情報はデータと切り離すこ
とができないようにしておく必要がある。著作権情報を
データと切り離すことができないようにする方法として
は前に述べた著作権管理プログラムの場合あるいは著作
権管理メッセージの場合と同様に、データと著作権情報
を一体化させる方法あるいは著作権情報が無ければデー
タを利用することができないようにする方法を採ること
ができる。
【００３９】はじめに、データと著作権情報を一体化さ
せる方法について説明する。コンピュータで扱うデータ
はデータの名称，大きさ等を表示するファイルヘッダ及
びデータ本体であるファイルボディから構成される。し
たがって、データと著作権情報を一体化させる方法とし
ては、著作権情報をファイルヘッダと一体化させる方法
と、著作権情報をファイルボディと一体化させる方法及
びそのための別の手段を講じる方法がある。
【００４０】これらのうち著作権情報をファイルヘッダ
と一体化させる方法は、特にキャラクタコードで表現さ
れる文字情報の場合、ファイルヘッダがなくても利用可
能であるため、簡易な方法ではあるが確実な方法ではな
い。また、ファイルヘッダの容量は通常それほど大きく
はないため、著作権情報が多い場合には不十分なことが
ある。
【００４１】ディジタル画像データ及びディジタル音声
データはグループ化され、このグループにヘッダが付い
ている。そこで、このグループヘッダに著作権情報を一
体化させることができる。しかし、この場合もファイル
ヘッダと同様なヘッダ容量の問題がある。
【００４２】著作権情報をファイルボディと一体化させ
る方法には、利用されたデータ毎に付ける方法と、全体
にまとめて付ける方法がある。利用されたデータ毎に著
作権情報を付ける方法は切り貼りされたデータ毎に著作
権情報を付けることになるが、この方法は繁雑であるば
かりでなく、全体のファイルデータが大きくなりがちで
ある。画像データは原著作の著作権表示がなされていれ
ば、どのデータが該当するのか確認することは容易であ
る。したがって、著作権情報を利用されたデータの最小
単位毎に付けることは必ずしも必要なことではない。
【００４３】また、著作権情報を著作権プログラム中に
書き込むようにすることもできる。この方法の場合、前
に述べたデータと一体化された著作権管理プログラム中
に書き込むようにすると著作権情報を操作することは困
難である。
【００４４】データが画像信号である場合には、必ず走
査線、フィールド及びフレームの区切りをするための同
期信号データが必要である。この、同期信号は冗長度が
高いため一般的には可変長符号化されるので、この可変
長符号に著作権情報を混入させることができる。走査線
の数はＶＧＡ規格の場合で４８０本であるから、ここを
利用すればかなりの情報を混入させることができる。こ
の方法は、画像データが動画である場合には充分な著作
権情報を書き込むことができる。しかし、この方法も画
像データがカットアンドペーストによって加工された静
止画である場合には著作権管理情報を付ける余裕がなく
なることがある。
【００４５】図２に、アナログ方式テレビジョンとディ
ジタル方式テレビジョンの信号の構造を示すが、（ａ）
に示したのはアナログテレビジョンの場合であり、
（ｂ）に示したのはディジタル方式テレビジョンの場合
である。アナログ方式テレビジョンにおける文字多重信
号等の画像データ以外の信号は垂直帰線期間を利用して
挿入され、水平帰線期間は利用されていない。これに対
して、ディジタル方式テレビジョンにおいては水平走査
データ中及び垂直走査データ中に著作権管理プログラム
等あるいはその他の文字多重信号等を挿入することがで
きる。
【００４６】著作権情報とデータを一体化する方法とし
て、著作権情報をデータ自身の中に書き込む方法と、制
御コードの中に書き込む方法がある。コンピュータで利
用されるデータには画面に表示されたり何らかの動作を
させたりするデータの他に、通信システムあるいはコン
ピュータシステムを制御する制御コードがあり、この制
御コードがユーザの目に触れることはない。したがっ
て、制御コード中に著作権情報を書き込めば、書き込ま
れた著作権情報がユーザの利用に障害を発生することは
ない。なお、コンピュータウィルスの技術を用いてコン
ピュータのファイル中に入り込ませることにより、動作
そのものには影響を与えないることもできる。
【００４７】最近注目されているディジタル署名は、本
人のみが知っている専用鍵と他人が知っている公開鍵を
用い、専用鍵と文書に基づくファイルサイズ等のデータ
とからディジタル署名を作成し、文書の改変があったと
きには専用鍵によって改変があったことを確認すること
ができ、公開鍵によって他人がいつでも文書の内容を見
ることができるシステムであり、非常に安全性が高いも
のといわれている。
【００４８】コンピュータのデータの改変はデータ中に
何等の痕跡を残すことなく行うことが可能である。その
ため、データの著作権が知らない間に侵害されていても
著作者に判らなかったり、データの内容が改竄されてい
ることを知らずにデータを利用するユーザが被害を受け
ることがある。このような被害を防止するために、改竄
のおそれがあるデータにディジタル署名を付けておくこ
とにより著作権者あるいはユーザが被害を受けることを
未然に防止することができる。
【００４９】以上説明した要素としての「許可鍵」、
「著作権管理プログラム」、「著作権管理メッセージ」
及び「著作権情報」をどのように組み合わせるかはデー
タベース著作権管理方法を実現するにあたって必要に応
じて任意に組み合わせて用いることが可能である。
【００５０】また、著作権管理プログラム，著作権管理
メッセージあるいは著作権情報のデータの一部のみを許
可鍵とともに供給されるようにし、他の一部を利用する
データとともに供給されるようにして、許可鍵として供
給された部分とデータとともに供給された部分が合体す
ることによって初めて完全な許可鍵として機能するよう
にすることもできる。このようにすれば、著作権プログ
ラム及び著作権管理メッセージにも許可鍵の機能をもた
せることができ、安全性が高くなる。
【００５１】以上説明した許可鍵，著作権管理プログラ
ム，著作権管理メッセージ及び著作権情報と、鍵管理セ
ンタ及びデータベースとの関係を図３（ａ）〜（ｊ）に
示した。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 ディジタルデータの表示，保存，複写，
    加工，転送における著作権の管理を行うデータベース著
    作権管理方法であって、前記データベース著作権管理方
    法は、 通信回線を介しての利用申し込みに対して、 必要に応じて著作権を管理するためのプログラム，著作
    権情報あるいは著作権管理メッセージの何れか一つある
    いは複数を前記通信回線を介して利用を許可する鍵とと
    もに供給するデータベース著作権管理方法。
  2. 【請求項２】 ディジタルデータの表示，保存，複写，
    加工，転送における著作権の管理を行うデータベース著
    作権管理方法であって、前記データベース著作権管理方
    法は、 通信回線を介しての利用申し込みに対して利用を許可す
    る鍵を通信回線を介して供給し、 必要に応じて著作権を管理するためのプログラム，著作
    権情報あるいは著作権管理メッセージの何れか一つある
    いは複数をデータとともに供給するデータベース著作権
    管理方法。
  3. 【請求項３】 ディジタルデータの表示，保存，複写，
    加工，転送における著作権の管理を行うデータベース著
    作権管理方法であって、前記データベース著作権管理方
    法は、 通信回線を介しての利用申し込みに対して利用を許可す
    る鍵を通信回線を介して供給し、 著作権を管理するためのプログラム，著作権情報あるい
    は著作権管理メッセージの一部分を利用を許可する鍵と
    ともに通信回線を介して供給し著作権を管理するための
    プログラム，著作権情報あるいは著作権管理メッセージ
    の残りの一部分をデータとともに供給するデータベース
    著作権管理方法。
