Then, the liquid crystal 5 is injected into the inside to form a cell. Then, polarizing plates 6 and 6'are provided on both sides thereof, and if necessary, one polarizing plate 6'uses a reflective polarizing plate having an Al reflecting plate. Here, as for the portion corresponding to the inside of the cell of the electrode pattern 2, 2 ', a segment, a pattern, a dot, etc. are selectively used according to need, but in each case, the extraction electrode 7 is formed in a terminal shape, and a connection terminal or a zebra rubber connector is formed. The connecting film is cut to expose the extraction electrode 7 as shown in FIG.

It was technically difficult to cut only the film 3, and there was a problem in terms of manufacturing yield and reliability, and there was no definitive method.

Of the first film, wherein the adhesive layer is arranged to the outside of the cut end surface of the first film.
作用 第1のフィルムの切断端面下に接着剤層が存在するので

There was a lot of possibility that it would be damaged. In view of this, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the seal resin adhesive 4 is formed so as to project outside the cut surface to prevent the lead electrode 7 from directly touching and protecting it. In this way, when a large number of panels are collectively formed on a large plate and are cut and separated, a part of the film 3 with a transparent electrode facing the adjacent panel is in contact with this protruding portion, and therefore, it is adhered and cut. There is a fear that it will be difficult to be divided. Therefore, it is sufficient for the area of the protruding portion to have a small width that serves as a protective layer at the time of cutting, and it is sufficient to select conditions that allow easy peeling and division without adhesive strength to prevent division.

2'is formed in a segment shape, and a terminal electrode is formed as the extraction electrode 7 from a part thereof. These were screen-printed using an epoxy adhesive 4 with a width of 2.5 mm and leaving a liquid crystal injection port in a part so that the sealing resin layer 4 was formed to the outside of the cut portion by 0.2 mm. 3'is attached and pressure-bonded, and the sealing resin is heated and cured, then the liquid crystal 5
Inject and seal. This is cut and divided up to the thickness of the film 3 by a cutter along the cutting plane XX ′. In this case, the seal adhesive layer 4 serves as a protective layer for the thin film transparent electrode made of In 2 O 3 , and can protect the electrode surface from damage and prevent defects due to disconnection.

向上も可能である。Effect of the Invention As described above, the width of the adhesive layer is made slightly wider than that of the conventional one, and only by forming it to the outside of the cut surface, it acts as a protective layer at the time of cutting, and damages the transparent electrode for extraction Hindering, the manufacturing yield and reliability are greatly improved. In addition, productivity can be improved because there is no need to perform careful work as in the past.
